Khoai Lang Thang visits African slums, admires Quang Linh for one thing

Completely different from the places Khoai Lang Thang has been to, this time the youtuber takes everyone to explore the world's third largest slum in Kenya, Africa with things he has never encountered before.

And the clip of Khoai Lang Thang exploring a house considered the "best" in the slum here also brings many surprises and interesting things.

To get to the center of this slum, Khoai Lang Thang had to overcome a rather difficult journey. The road was narrow and bumpy, so if he wasn't careful, he could trip at any time.

Along the road are mud houses, roofed with patchwork corrugated iron, built close together. According to the guy, the houses made of mud are the most solid in this area, the rest are all made of rusty corrugated iron.

To get deeper inside, Khoai Lang Thang also had to cross a "unique path". It was an old railway, occasionally trains would pass by, at which point people would move to the sides to avoid the train, then continue moving.

The special thing about this slum is that there are no bathrooms or toilets inside the houses. Everyone goes to the toilet and showers in public rooms. The whole large slum has several public toilets, and each time they use them, the people here have to pay a fee, for example: going lightly is about 5 kes (about 1k), taking a cold shower is 10 kes (about 2k)... If they want clean water for daily activities, people also have to carry cans to buy water at public water selling areas.

The house of an African friend of Khoai Lang Thang was located in a small alley that was only wide enough for one person to pass through. After crossing the alley, he had to go through another deep alley to get there.

It looks like this but this is the most fully furnished house in this slum. Normally, the houses here are less than 10m2 wide and have only 1 room, but Khoai Lang Thang's house has 2 separate rooms but the area is only about 10m2.

Entering the house is a small yard, this area is where the whole family hangs clothes and has simple activities. Of course, there is no bathroom or toilet inside, like many other houses here.

Going inside is the living room, a room about 4 square meters wide with 2 chairs for people to sit and rest. The kitchen and living room are integrated together, so everyone has to avoid each other if they want to move around in the room.

To prepare dinner, everyone had to take turns. The owner of the house had a gas tank and a stove to cook. People here only cook food for the whole day, so there was only one pot. Today, there were guests, so after they finished cooking one dish, they washed the pot and started cooking another.

Watching Khoai Lang Thang's review clip, people expressed sympathy for the African people, and at the same time admired the spirit of mutual support of Vietnamese people when they came here to do charity work, including the African team and Quang Linh Vlog.

Continuing the initial volunteer journey in the distant African country, the 26-year-old Nghe An man and his friends in the Team Africa Community recently returned to Vietnam to participate in many activities to help people.
