Farming on dozens of hectares of farms in Angola, the African team (of which Quang Linh Vlog is a member) has helped people here have more vegetables for food and trade.

Recently, the Vice Chairman and Secretary of Lubango District personally visited Cong Giap's farm in 3 Dan Lat villages to visit and gain more experience, thereby developing it for other villages in the district.

The highlight of the farm is the lush trellis of luffa, gourd and squash, spread over a large area. The gourds and squashes here impress with their huge size, up to 4-5kg.

Cong Giap said the largest fruits will be left to mature and used for breeding, and people will eat the smaller fruits. It is known that gourds and squash are fruits that very few people grow in the Lubango area and are only available in Cong Giap's village. The price per scale is up to 1,000 Kz, equivalent to about 30,000 VND.

The village chief bragged to the two that the farm has almost all kinds of food and vegetables such as corn, potatoes, cassava, mangoes, lemons, oranges... All year round, in every season, people have agricultural products to harvest. , no longer worry about lack of food.

Here, Cong Giap invited two district leaders to enjoy Vietnamese jicama. Thanks to the suitable soil, the beans grown here grow well, many of them weigh up to 1kg, and the price purchased by traders is 1,500kz/kg.

At the end of the visit, Team Africa donated "home-grown" agricultural products such as gourds, squash, luffa, and sugarcane to the two leaders to show the heart of the people here.

"This is the first time we have visited the farm. Seeing the obvious development shows that the people have learned how to grow crops very well. We are lucky to meet the Vietnamese people, you have done such great things. It's a very noble job, even our leadership cannot do it to help the people," the Vice Chairman and District Secretary shared.

Cong Giap Vlogs is known as a Youtuber in Team Africa, with a YouTube channel of more than 550,000 followers. Cong Giap Vlogs is from Nghe An province, currently living and working in Lubango - Angola. He joined Team Africa in October 2020. When he had the opportunity to meet Quang Linh Vlogs in a foreign land, he joined hands with the whole group to support the local people and stuck with the African team until the end. Now.

In addition to the Vice President and District Secretary, previously, the Angolan Minister of Agriculture also personally visited and encouraged Viet Phi farm of Linh Phillip (another member of the African team - Quang Linh).

Accordingly, the Minister of Agriculture of Angola came to buy 5 kg of rice from the African team, 1 kg costs 1,000 Kz (nearly 30,000 VND/kg) and tried the famous sugarcane juice drink of Vietnam. . In addition, the Minister said he would support more fertilizers, new seeds, machinery, and provide more land for the team to expand production area.

"Now the most difficult thing is milling rice, but as you can see, the rice grains are very white and beautiful," the Minister said.

In mid-April, Linh Phillip's Viet Phi farm began harvesting rice. Besides the group of Vietnamese brothers and the main group of Angolan workers of the farm, many people from neighboring Bota village also came to support the harvest.

A member of the African team emotionally shared: "The first year of rice transplanting was really difficult, because it was difficult to prepare the land, and there was not much young mud in the fields. The first crop yield was 1.5 tons, with the brothers. We have achieved something to be proud of. This year's rainy season has been wonderful."

Having harvested about 40 bags of rice, the farm owner plans to keep 6 bags for storage, and hire the rest to mill into rice, dividing it among more than a dozen people who have been eating and sleeping with the rice all this time.

With the amount of seeds saved, they hope to have enough to expand farming in a few neighboring villages, increasing the area of Viet Phi farm by 300%.

Linh Phillip even set his sights on becoming a rice king to help villagers eliminate hunger and reduce poverty.
