Recently, the famous Korean eyewear and accessories brand Gentle Monster introduced a new collection called " Jentle Salon", in collaboration with Kpop idol Jennie (member of BLACKPINK).

Before the official launch of the collection on May 1, many celebrities shared on social media the "Jentle Salon" gift box that Jennie sent, causing the products to go viral.
However, recently, a social media account suddenly posted an image comparing the products in the "Jentle Salon" collection with products in the 2020-2022 collection of Hong Kong jewelry and accessories brand YVMIN.
Specifically, Jentle Salon's stuffed animal design and accessory decoration are quite similar to YVMIN's Paradise collection. Jennie's heart samples are also said to resemble hearts from YVMIN's ElectricGirl collection. Even the color scheme makes it difficult for many people when looking at it to deny the similarity. Perhaps, the difference between these 2 collections is that 1 side is a teddy bear, 1 side is a guinea pig.

It is known that YVMIN's Paradies collection includes a lot of jewelry, hair accessories, hats with prices ranging from $ 75 - 450 (about VND 2 - more than 11 million), much more expensive than charm models in Jentle Salon collection ($ 20 - 60, equivalent to 510K - 1500K).
However, Jennie's fans pointed out that the image above was deliberately positioned among the products in the collection to compare with each other. In fact, Gentle Monster has never released promotional images with such an arrangement.
However, many opinions say that it is undeniable that the "Jentle Salon" collection created by Jennie has many products similar to the collection of the YVMIN brand. Gentle Monster has not yet commented on the matter. But if the suspicion of plagiarism is true, it will partly affect Jennie's image.
However, it seems that people do not have much to do with this issue when Jentle Salon products are still rumbling. Specifically, right from the early morning of the launch, the image of crowds waiting in long lines to buy in front of brand stores of many big cities such as Seoul, Tokyo, Bangkok, Shanghai ... has made the online community overwhelmed and admired.
After just over 1 hour of opening for sale, many glasses/charms are also continuously sold out on the official website of Gentle Monster and shopping platform TMall. By the end of the day, the entire Jentle Salon collection had sold out 2 times on Gentle Monster's website.

This is Jennie's 3rd collaboration with Gentle Monster for her own collection. It was preceded by the collections "Jentle Home" (2020) and "Jentle Garden" (2022). Not only that, Jentle Salon collection also has a higher price than Jennie's previous 2 combinations.
If Jentle Home only costs from 130-260 USD (about 3-6 million VND), Jentle Garden costs 259-480 USD (about 6-12 million VND), Jentle Salon costs from 295-380 USD (about 8-10 million VND) and 11 charm models cost 20-70 USD (about 500,000-1.5 million VND).
It is known that Jentle Home collection - Jennie's first collab with Gentle Monster in 2020 also created a fever when sold out in just 1 note. Even Gentle Monster's website was taken down because of the heavy traffic.
2 years later, Jentle Garden collection marked the 2nd collab that was equally destructive and impressive when quickly sold out on all fronts. Even this collection is so hot that in stores limited to 1 person can only buy a maximum of 3 glasses.
