Hoang Chau Anh: The 2k5 beauty just crowned Miss Ao Dai Heritage Vietnam 2024

Hoang Chau Anh was born in 2005 and is currently a student at Hanoi Foreign Trade University - the country's leading prestigious school for training generations of talented and dynamic students.

The Miss Ao Dai Vietnam Heritage Contest 2024 was held for the first time with the aim of honoring and spreading the image of Vietnamese Ao Dai. The contest took place at the Son Tay Culture - Information and Sports Center, Hanoi, with the participation of 30 contestants from all over the country.

Vice Chairman of Son Tay Town People's Committee Le Dai Thang - Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest said: The contest "Miss Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage" in 2024 aims to honor and spread the image of the beauty of women wearing Ao Dai through each period, elevating Ao Dai to a "cultural product" in diplomacy, cultural development and tourism of Vietnam.

"Promoting the beauty of Vietnamese Ao Dai is one of the top priority contents in the "Miss Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage" contest in 2024. At the same time, it is an opportunity for Son Tay town to maximize its potential in promoting, developing the economy, tourism and preserving cultural heritage" - Mr. Le Dai Thang emphasized.

Journalist Nguyen Truong Son - Chairman of the Vietnam Advertising Association - Head of the Jury affirmed: The contest is a journey to discover and honor the traditional beauty of the Vietnamese ao dai, encouraging love and deep understanding of the national cultural heritage, and at the same time is a platform for contestants to demonstrate their abilities, confidence and intelligence.

The jury of the final night of Miss Ao Dai Heritage Vietnam 2024 includes Journalist Nguyen Truong Son - Chairman of Vietnam Advertising Association - Head of the jury; People's Artist - Colonel Tran Nhuong; Meritorious Artist - actress Quach Thu Phuong; Miss Universe Vietnam Ngoc Chau; Miss World Tourism Huong Ly; Mrs. Peace Tourism 2024 Tuyet Ngan; Businesswoman - doctor Khuc Lan Phuong.

In the final night, with convincing answers and impressive performances, surpassing the 30 best contestants of the contest, contestant Hoang Chau Anh (candidate number 28) from Cao Bang was crowned Miss Ao Dai Heritage Vietnam 2024. The first runner-up of the contest belonged to contestant Do Thu Hien (candidate number 136) from Quang Ninh; the second runner-up belonged to contestant Ha Hong Gam (Thanh Hoa).

Born and raised in Cao Bang, Hoang Chau Anh is a former student of Cao Bang High School for the Gifted. She has won many academic awards such as First Prize in Physics at the school-level Olympic competition; Second Prize in the provincial Science and Technology competition; and Promising Prize at the national Science and Technology competition.

At the Foreign Trade Charm 2024 contest, Chau Anh won many titles such as Top 5 Foreign Trade Charm 2024; Most Favorite Miss (Miss Popular); Top 5 Talented Miss; Top 3 Charity Miss.

According to the Organizing Committee, after being crowned, the new Miss Ao Dai Heritage Vietnam will represent Vietnam to participate in the Miss Tourism World 2025 contest and the contest will be hosted in Vietnam.

The first runner-up will represent Vietnam at the Miss Icon International 2025 contest; the second runner-up will represent Vietnam at the Miss Multinational contest; the third runner-up will represent Vietnam at the Miss Environment contest and the fourth runner-up will represent Vietnam at the Miss Bikin.i World contest.

After being crowned, Hoang Chau Anh will not only become a beauty icon but also a representative of Vietnamese culture and ao dai heritage. She will participate in cultural and tourism promotion activities and participate in the Miss Tourism World 2025 contest hosted by Vietnam.

In the behavioral round, Hoang Chau Anh received a question from Miss Ngoc Chau: "The Vietnamese women's ao dai has existed for a long time and has gone through many stages and changes in the nation's history, but until now it still affirms its value and is associated with the image of Vietnamese women. Why do you think it has been preserved like that?"

Chau Anh shared: "Every time I put on the ao dai, I feel the cultural beauty and a deep sense of responsibility to preserve and spread that value. If I have the opportunity, I wish to become a bridge, contributing to bringing the image of the ao dai beyond the borders of Vietnam, so that the ao dai is not only a precious heritage of the nation but also becomes an everlasting symbol, affirming its special position in the hearts of Vietnamese people and international friends."
