Through medical history, the patient said that while eating hot pot, the mini gas tank suddenly exploded, leading to injury. Previously, the boy from Hai Duong was taken to another hospital and then transferred to Saint Paul General Hospital.

Despite being treated with emergency care and surgery, with serious injuries, doctors determined that, in addition to the reduced grip function of the hand, it greatly affects future learning, living and working. causes major psychological problems for patients.

Saint Paul's team of nurses and doctors treated the wound and prevented necrosis for the teenager from Hai Duong. Currently, the boy is being monitored at the hospital.

Exploding a mini gas tank while eating is a common accident, very easy to cause injury, light burns on the skin, more serious can crush hands and forearms, there are even many cases of multiple injuries. Some families, because they want to save money, reuse mini gas cylinders, leading to safety risks for members and easily causing fires and explosions.

Or the case of Mr. TVH (30 years old) in Tuyen Quang who was transferred to Viet Duc Hospital with multiple injuries: traumatic brain injury, subdural hematoma in the right hemisphere, amputation of the right hand, deep burns in the head area. , face, neck. The patient's family shared that while using a mini gas stove to braise meat, the gas tank exploded, causing him serious injury.

The last days of the year, especially when Tet comes, is an opportunity for everyone to reunite, many families choose hot pot to eat, drink, and chat together. However, the issue of fire safety (due to the use of gas cylinders, alcohol...) is still alarming.

Therefore, doctors recommend that to ensure safety, families should use induction stoves and infrared stoves instead of mini gas stoves. If you must use a gas stove, choose gas cylinders and stoves of clear origin, do not use recycled products. Because mini gas tanks can only be used once and are not safe to reuse.

In case of an accident due to burns, gas cylinder explosion, especially injury to the eye area, the wound should be rinsed with cold water, go to the hospital for timely treatment, and do not arbitrarily apply leaves to the wound.
