The woman who passed away forever in the case of a phoenix tree uprooting and falling on the road in Hanoi has been brought back to her hometown to take care of the aftermath. The man accompanying him is currently being treated at Bach Mai Hospital.
At about 3 p.m. yesterday (6/9), during heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms in Hanoi, a large phoenix tree with a diameter of 40-50cm on Nguyen Huu Tho Street (Hoang Liet Ward, Hoang Mai District) suddenly uprooted and fell on the road, crushing 2 people on a motorbike.
As a result, a woman died on the spot, while the accompanying man was seriously injured in the head area and was supported by the people to be taken to the emergency room at Bach Mai Hospital. Functional forces were then promptly present at the scene to investigate the cause of the incident. Through initial observation, the stump of the phoenix tree showed signs of decay, so it could not stand in the rain and wind.
The deceased man was identified as Ms. L.T.T. (born in 1983) and the seriously injured man was Mr. H.S.L. (born in 1992, Ms. T.'s brother-in-law). Both are from Yen Tho commune, Nhu Thanh district, Thanh Hoa province. It is known that Ms. T. is raising 3 small children.
Responding to Cong Ly newspaper, the leader of the People's Committee of Yen Tho commune, Nhu Thanh district, Thanh Hoa province confirmed that Ms. T. and Mr. L. both have permanent residence in the area. Ms. T. has now been taken back to her hometown by her family to take care of the aftermath. The family added that the two sisters went to Hanoi to apply for visas to prepare to go to Korea when they met with an accident.

When a fire, explosion, t.ai or incident occurs, people immediately call the professional Fire and Rescue Police at 114 or use the "Fire Alarm 114" application on smart mobile devices for timely support.
