Recently, the Hanoi People's Procuracy has completed the indictment to prosecute defendant Nguyen Chi Thanh (born in 1996, residing in Mao Khe ward, Dong Trieu town, Quang Ninh province) for the crime of "Murder".

According to the accusation, Nguyen Chi Thanh, Lai Van P. (born in 1996) and Nguyen Van T. (born in 1994) have been friends and have been playing together for a long time. At around 1:00 p.m. on September 17, 2023, Mr. P. went to Mr. T.'s apartment in a high-end urban area in Gia Lam district (Hanoi) to play.

Here, P. met Ms. A.Th. N. (born in 1999, Mr. T.'s lover) and Ms. B.Th.Y. (born in 1996, both living in Quang Ninh, N.'s friend and also Thanh's ex-lover) who were sitting there. While sitting and talking, Mr. P. flirted with Ms. Y.

At around 5 p.m. the same day, Nguyen Chi Thanh also went to Mr. T's apartment to play and saw Ms. Y. and Mr. P. sitting and talking in the living room. Witnessing his "ex-lover" and Mr. P. talking intimately, Thanh showed jealousy and said harsh words to the other person.

That evening, Mr. T. invited Mr. P., Ms. N., Ms. Y. and Thanh to a beer house to eat and drink together with the intention of the two sides making peace with each other. However, during the meal, the two continued to have conflicts and arguments.

In a fit of anger, Mr. P. suddenly took the glass he was drinking beer from and threw it at Nguyen Chi Thanh's forehead, causing the defendant to bleed. Immediately, Thanh rushed in to fight with Mr. P. but was stopped by Mr. T.

Determined not to give up, Thanh ran into the kitchen to get a knife from the beer house to attack Mr. P., but luckily he ran away in time. Afterwards, everyone let the suspect go to Mr. T.'s apartment to rest.

At about 11:30 p.m. the same day, Mr. P. called to apologize to Mr. T. At this time, Mr. T. told Mr. P. to come back to his house to apologize directly and also to reconcile with Nguyen Chi Thanh.

At 0:00 on September 18, 2023, Mr. P. went to Mr. T.'s house to apologize to Thanh, but did not admit that he was wrong and continued to argue with the other party. After that, Thanh held a sharp object and "hit" Mr. P. and forced the other party to kneel down and apologize. Mr. P. did not agree, so the other party continued to "hit" him many more times on the head and chest...

Ms. Y. was very scared and did not dare to intervene, so she knelt down and begged her ex-lover to stop. At this time, Y. suddenly took a porcelain vase and "hit" her head, breaking it, then used the broken pieces to threaten to "log out" himself in order to prevent Nguyen Chi Thanh from "hitting" Mr. P. anymore. But the suspect did not stop, but went into the kitchen and took another sharp object to attack his "rival".

After that, Thanh once again "hit" Mr. P. many times until the other person lay motionless before stopping. At this time, the defendant felt remorseful, so he told Mr. T. to call an ambulance, then together with everyone else took Mr. P. to the hospital.

With 20 injuries on his body, Mr. P. was treated and survived due to timely emergency care. On September 21, 2023, Mr. P. was discharged from the hospital with 47% health damage.

For his part, after committing the crime, Nguyen Chi Thanh surrendered to Gia Lam District Police and confessed to his crime. During the investigation, Thanh's family compensated Mr. P..
