The male artist confided: "I sang with Ut Bach Lan's mother for a long time until I returned to the Tran Huu Trang theater. Ut Bach Lan's mother was the second person who guided Dien Trung to pursue a singing career again."

In 2005, Dien Trung's family decided to settle abroad and wanted him to come with them, but the male artist refused because he was still attached to his Cai Luong career.

In 2006, Dien Trung participated in the television contest Vong Co Star, the predecessor of Vong Co Golden Bell. With the help of Meritorious Artist Ut Bach Lan, Meritorious Artist To Chau, Meritorious Artist Minh Minh Tam, Dien Trung achieved the first successes in his career when entering the final of the program.

Currently, artist Dien Trung is Deputy Delegator 2 of Tran Huu Trang Cai Luong Theater. The male artist was awarded a medal for cultural causes by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2022.
