Singer Le Hai's funeral was held at the artist couple's rented house in District 8, Ho Chi Minh City. Due to his single-parent family situation, artist Vu Thanh was assisted by some colleagues and grandchildren in arranging his wife's funeral.

Artist Vu Thanh confided that over the past 7 months, singer Le Hai has been hospitalized many times due to illness. She suffered from many diseases such as severe polyarthritis, nervous system infectio.n, pneumonia, and enteritis. In addition, the singer also suffered from many underlying diseases. In February, singer Le Hai underwent brain surgery but her health did not improve much. After a long time fightin.g the disease, her health gradually weakened. Singer Le Hai was brought home by her family at 5:30 p.m. on May 21, and at 6 p.m. she breathed her last.

"My wife passed away at home. In her last days, her health was weak and she could not speak, so her family did not know her final wishes. However, while she was alive, she told me that if she died, she should be cremated and her ashes scattered at Vung Tau beach. She was born in Dong Thap but grew up in Vung Tau, where she spent her entire youth," he added.

A few days earlier, artist Vu Thanh made many people feel sorry when he posted a photo of his wife lying unconscious on a hospital bed along with a poem filled with pai.n: "Now I only count the days, I will not see my gentle wife of the past again. Amidst all the hardships, his greatest comfort right now is his 10-year-old grandson, who is smart, intelligent, and understanding. "Despite the changes, I am still determined to accompany my wife in the health battle. No matter how difficult it is for me, I have never thought of giving up," he said.
