"Father" LE SSERAFIM sued Min Hee Jin, demanding compensation of nearly 10 billion VND

The civil war controversy between the woman who "conquered Kpop" Min Hee Jin and the HYBE group has not stopped. According to Sports Seoul on July 15, the management company of the group LE SSERAFIM filed a lawsuit against ADOR company CEO Min Hee Jin to seek compensation for damages.

Recently, Korean media reported that Source Music, a subsidiary of HYBE and the management company of girl group LE SSERAFIM, filed a lawsuit against ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin. The charges against CEO Min Hee Jin include defamation and business disruption. This lawsuit requests a compensation fee of 500 million won (nearly 10 billion VND). According to sources, the incident began when statements from Min Hee Jin were said to have damaged Source Music's reputation and business. The company hopes that this lawsuit will bring fairness and protect its rights.

The amount of the lawsuit could increase as it currently represents only a fraction of the damages Source Music claims to have suffered. Source Music pointed out 3 main issues in Min Hee Jin's recent statement: First, Min Hee-jin stated that she personally selected the members of NewJeans. The second is HYBE's unilateral decision to launch NewJeans as the first girl group. Finally, it is confirmed that Source Music has neglected the members of NewJeans.

According to sources, Source Music has collected evidence against CEO Min Hee Jin's statements and submitted it with the lawsuit. In addition, Belift Lab, the management company of girl group ILLIT, filed a lawsuit against Min Hee-jin last month for business interference and defamation, countering accusations that ILLIT plagiarized NewJeans. Belift Lab criticized Min Hee-jin for taking advantage of a group of innocent rookies to put pressure on HYBE.

Min Hee-jin underwent the first round of questioning on July 9. On April 26, HYBE filed a complaint with Seoul Yongsan Police Station, accusing Min Hee-jin of breach of duty, claim that they have confirmed specific facts about Ador's plan to take over management under her direction. Min Hee-jin appeared at Yongsan Police Station on July 9 and was questioned for more than 8 hours.

Regarding the investigation, Seoul Police Commissioner Cho Ji-ho stated during a regular press conference on the 15th that they could not confirm all the necessary details and additional investigation would be required. If Min Hee-jin's allegations are confirmed, HYBE is also considering additional civil lawsuits.
