After announcing their participation in "2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon" and releasing their next MV at the end of the year, BABYMONSTER has recently revealed the first performances for their world tour " Hello Monster".
Specifically, on December 12 (Korean time), YG Entertainment's Kpop girl group BABYMONSTER attracted the attention of many music fans when it announced its highly anticipated first tour in the US, scheduled to take place early next year.
Accordingly, the show is produced by Live Nation, the limited performances of " Baby Monster 1st World Tour" include the main night at the Prudential Center in Newark (New Jersey) on Friday, February 28, 2025 and the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 2, 2025. With this progress, many netizens think that the group's rival ILLIT must also "scare" when listening.
The tour is said to be a major boost for BABYMONSTER's first full-length album, "Drip," which was released on November 1. The album features nine tracks with vibrant, energetic melodies, including one of the title tracks "Drip" written by "Kpop King" G-Dragon, a remix of the record-breaking pre-release single "Batter Up" and "Forever," which was extremely popular with fans.
After its "release", the debut album of the "little sister group BLACKPINK" achieved great success not only in Korea, but also in important Kpop markets such as Japan and North America - something not every rookie group can do.
In Japan, the seven YG girls topped the iTunes "Top Album Chart" and the "Top 100 Real-Time Album Chart" on Line Music, the country's largest streaming platform. In North America, they stayed on the Billboard chart for three consecutive weeks.
"Drip" follows the success of BABYMONSTER's record-breaking mini-album "BABYMONS7ER," which was released in April 2024 and sold over 400,000 copies upon its release. The album features hits like "Batter Up," "Sheesh," and "Like That," which were written for the group by global superstar Charlie Puth.
A few days ago, YG Entertainment announced that BABYMONSTER will be performing at the "2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon" held on December 25, 2024 at Incheon Inspire Arena. Here, the group will present a special band version of "Drip". The performance with newly arranged sounds and choreography is highly anticipated by fans.
"We have prepared a special stage to thank the fans who have supported us throughout our first year of debut in 2024. The group's powerful and energetic performance will heat up the year-end stage," YG announced.
Notably, this event also marks a reunion with BABYMONSTER's labelmates, 2NE1, who recently confirmed their first appearance at "Gayo Daejeon" after 10 years of absence from the entertainment industry.
The seven female idols made headlines when they appeared as special guests at 2NE1's 15th anniversary concert in Seoul. They are expected to perform together at the "2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon" later this year.
BABYMONSTER will release the music video for their next song, "Love In My Heart," on December 16. They will then appear on Japanese music shows, including TV Asahi's "Music Station" on December 27 and TBS's "CDTV Live! Live!" on December 28, to connect with their global fans and close out 2024 on a high note.
Building on this momentum, BABYMONSTER will be able to kick off their first world tour on Saturday (January 25) and Sunday (January 26, 2025) at Seoul's KSPO Dome. As a rookie K-pop girl group, the rapid rise of the 7 girls when performing at the KSPO Dome shows great potential for future growth.
BABYMONSTER also recently received good news in their career when the music video "Clik Clak" surpassed 100 million views on YouTube. Notably, the video reached this milestone just 41 days after its release, becoming the group's 8th video to surpass 100 million views.
