The case of a new student of the University of Science and Technology eating leftover rice soup containing a gruesome foreign object while studying National Defense at the school is a matter of public concern.

Most recently, the school's representative shared more fully about this case. ASS. Dr. Huynh Dang Chinh - Deputy Director of Hanoi University of Science and Technology shared in the press that immediately after receiving the information, the school also made a move to gather all clues and review the entire process of providing meals. Mr. Chinh admitted that the information circulating on social networks about students' meals is true but not entirely accurate.

It is known that the meals are divided by trays. Each tray has a bowl of rice, and the food is divided into each dish. The students' meals are arranged as if they were for the army, not mixing food and rice. Therefore, rice is placed in a large bowl at each table, students eat as much as they want. Therefore, the "leftover rice" here is actually leftover rice, not bad rice. When the trays do not run out of rice - especially the trays of female students, the leftover rice is poured back into the pot for them to eat later.

As for the details of the kitchen staff pouring leftover soup into a common bowl to share with those who eat later, a representative of the Board of Directors of Hanoi University of Science and Technology said that he did not understand why they did it.

Regarding the information that there was a foreign object in the food, the school also said about the case of two students reflecting that there were cockroach legs in the food. The caterer also voiced that there was a worm in the meat slicer, so it was mixed with the food.

When seeing pictures of food spread on social media about student meals containing foreign objects, then students have to eat leftover rice and soup from others, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Dang Chinh said that he was very surprised. He expressed that action was "unacceptable". The school's leadership will handle it strictly to the end and publicize information to the public.

At the same time, Hanoi University of Science and Technology apologized and wished to receive the sympathy and sharing of parents and students. The school wishes to always receive comments from society and learners so that the school's activities are getting better and better.

According to the students of the catering support group, they were assigned to collect leftover rice at each table, mix well. After that, the kitchen staff poured this leftover rice into a common rice container and continued to distribute it to groups of students who came to eat later.

In addition to rice, unfinished bowls of soup are also collected, poured into pots, and then divided into new portions. The student of the service squad said: "I am the one who used to serve at that place, pour that soup into another pot, then go to distribute it to the following tables, it is mandatory to do it because people tell me how to do it, I do it, maybe right in front of the uncles there I pour the soup again, I don't want to do it. He keeps being violated morally, he is dirty, he is not safe, he feels contrary to his conscience."

Not only is the leftover rice soup reused, but the students of the Faculty of Defense and Security Education have also repeatedly discovered all kinds of foreign objects present in daily meals. So much so that this group of students had to buy bread to share for lunch, even though they had just left the A15 cafeteria.

It is known that all first-year students of Hanoi University of Science and Technology must study defense education. Within 2 weeks, new students will have to pay 1,630,000 VND for centralized accommodation.

During these 2 weeks, students will live and study together in the military area of the university with very serious hours and living regimes, in order to practice self-discipline and a sense of responsibility in daily life.
