Vietnam Military History Museum creates fever, "busts out" on the weekend
The Vietnam Military History Museum, located at Km 6,500 Thang Long Avenue, Tay Mo Ward, Nam Tu Liem District (Hanoi), has emerged as a popular destination in recent days.
Responding to Lao Dong, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tien Dung - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Military History Museum said that as of November 14, the museum had been open for 9 days, welcoming more than 128,500 visitors, an average of more than 14,000 visitors per day.
Last weekend, the museum recorded 90,000 visitors, with 60,000 on Sunday (November 17) alone - a record number for the number of visitors in a day at museums in Vietnam.
Not only on weekends, the museum is also crowded on weekdays. Visitors of all ages are excited and overwhelmed by the exhibits on display in the museum. On Thursday (November 14) alone, the museum welcomed more than 40,000 visitors, leading to an overload. Besides the beautiful images, many people feel bored when the scene of parents letting their children climb on exhibits such as tanks, planes, etc. to take pictures is still repeated.
The Deputy Director of the Museum said: "We have arranged to increase the force, divide shifts to look after the artifacts, and remind visitors. However, the number of visitors is too large, museum staff have to constantly move to observe and remind visitors, there is no time to rest, so fatigue is inevitable."
The Vietnam Military History Museum has a large space with an area of tens of thousands of square meters, divided into many exhibition areas according to each historical period. Historical artifacts such as MiG-21 aircraft number 5121, T-54 tank number 843 (national treasure), or heavy artillery guns displayed outdoors are not only proof of military strength but also a symbol of the nation's resilient fightin.g spirit.
The museum currently holds more than 150,000 artifacts, including 4 national treasures, each with its own historical story, helping visitors gain a deeper understanding of the heroic feats and sacrifices of the Vietnamese people. This has created a special attraction for history lovers, especially those who want to better understand Vietnam's glorious victories in the resistance wars.
Another difference that makes the museum attract a large number of visitors is the application of modern technology to the exhibition activities. The video descriptions/3D mapping of major battles and famous battles have made history more vivid and accessible than ever.
In addition to the artifacts and technology, an indispensable element is the presence of veterans who directly participated in the wars to protect the country. Their stories, when shared in the exhibition areas, moved many visitors.
In addition to the content, the location and design of the museum also contribute greatly to the attraction of this place. The design of the building with open spaces and beautiful photo angles is suitable for tourists who love photography.
Finally, one factor that cannot be ignored is that the museum is open for free from November 1 and will continue to be free until the end of December. This not only attracts a large number of domestic tourists but also creates opportunities for many international tourists to visit and learn about Vietnam's history.
With all of the above factors, the Vietnam Military History Museum is increasingly affirming its position as an unmissable destination, especially for those who are passionate about history and wish to learn more about the heroic history of the Vietnamese people.
