The incident of a car crashing into a house and hittin.g a 17-month-old gir.l is still receiving special attention from the public. After the incident, the woman sitting in the car came forward and admitted to being the driver of the car that caused the collision. However, the authorities of Tuyen Quang City later identified the driver of the car that caused the collision as a man.

The driver who caused the collision was Mr. Nguyen Khuong D. (30 years old, from Yen Son district, Tuyen Quang province). Mr. D. is a police officer of the Criminal Investigation Police Team on criminal, economic and illegal substances of Yen Son district police.

"The case is being handled by the Investigation Police Agency of Tuyen Quang City Police. As for the offending car driver who is a police officer, we will strictly handle the case according to the regulations of the industry," the leader of Tuyen Quang Provincial Police emphasized on December 25. "Our point of view is to strictly handle the case according to the provisions of the law, there are no cases that are forbidden zones or exceptions."

Accordingly, Tuyen Quang City Police said they are continuing to consolidate records and evidence to complete the case file. Regarding the results of the alcohol concentration test, the authorities have sent bloo.d samples for testing but as of today there are still no results. However, before that, Mr. D. affirmed that he did not drink alcohol or use any alcoholic substances.

Regarding the fact that she admitted to being the driver at the time of the collision, at the investigation agency, Mr. D's wife said that because she was too panicked at the time and her husband was taking the bab.y to the emergency room, she admitted to being the driver. Previously, at around 4:30 p.m. on December 21, the car with license plate 22A - 186.xx, traveling on the road in Group 10, Nong Tien Ward, Tuyen Quang City, suddenly encountered a motorbike crossing the road.

Due to the unexpected situation, the car driver swerved and crashed straight into house number 26, group 10, Nong Tien ward. At that moment, a 17-month-old gir.l who was playing with her mother in the house was hit by the car. The gir.l was injured and later passed away due to severe injuries.

Previously at the police station, driver D. confirmed that he did not drink alcohol and had no alcohol concentration. However, we took a bloo.d sample from this person for testing, but the results are not yet available," Colonel Mau added.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Mau, at the time of the incident, the woman sitting in the car with Mr. D. was the driver's wife. At the police station, she confessed that because she was so panicked and her husband was taking the bab.y to the emergency room, she claimed to be the driver.

"Our point of view is to follow the law, strictly handle the right person for the right crime, comprehensively, without covering up no matter who it is," the Chief of Tuyen Quang City Police affirmed.

Previously, as reported by the media, at around 5:00 p.m. on December 21, car with license plate 22A-186.xx, driven by a man, was traveling on a road in Group 10, Nong Tien Ward, Tuyen Quang City when it suddenly encountered a motorbike driven by a man crossing the street from the opposite direction.

The car driver swerved to avoid the motorbike and crashed straight into house number 26, group 10, Nong Tien ward. At that time, there was a woman and a 17-month-old gir.l in the house. The leader of Tuyen Quang City People's Committee said that the bab.y's parents were in business, the family was infertile, and finally had a chil.d when the tragic collision happened.

"I sat facing inside the house, then took the cake to feed my daughter. She held the cake and kept on staring at it, then pushed my hand away to go play somewhere else. When she had taken about 3 steps, I turned towards her and saw a car rushing towards me. At that moment, I quickly reached out to pull my daughter back but it was too late because the car was going so fast that I was thrown off the ground and stunned on the spot," Ms. Xuan recalled.
