According to authorities, during the investigation, the authorities identified 2,661 victims. The total amount of mone.y the victims deposited was approximately 50 million USD (about more than 1,260 billion VND).
The investigation team determined that Pho Duc Nam was the ringleader in this case. Up to now, this is the largest fraud ring in Vietnam in the field of foreign exchange and securities.

Notably, in this case, Hanoi City Police also seized Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini, Mercedes AMG G63... These are all supercars worth up to tens of billions of dong and among them are limited editions with "huge" license plates.
Typically, the "luxury supercar" Rolls-Royce Cullinan with a license plate of four 3s, the car uses a 6.75 liter V12 engine, 563 horsepower and maximum torque of 850 Nm. The rolling price of Cullinan in Vietnam is about 36 - 45 billion VND, depending on the version. For this license plate, car enthusiasts believe it is not less than 1 billion VND.
The Mercedes-AMG G63 with license plate 30H (Hanoi) has a rolling price of over 12 billion VND. The G63 AMG is currently imported as a whole. The car has a 4.0, V8 engine, 585 capacity, 6000 rpm horsepower, 850 Nm torque at 2500-3500 rpm. 9-speed AMG automatic transmission, multiple driving modes, paddle shifters on the steering wheel...

As of December 11, the Investigation Agency has received reports from 18 victims with a total amount of mone.y misappropriated of VND 28,443,000,000. Currently, there are many other victims who have not reported, the Investigation Agency has not yet determined the information and amount of mone.y misappropriated.
It is worth mentioning that the subjects have "defrauded" to the point that the victims do not think they are being deceived, but mistakenly think that they are facing risks in investment. A representative of the Cau Giay District Police (Hanoi) said: "During the verification process, the investigation agency encountered many difficulties because the victims thought that these were licensed, legitimate stock exchange sites, and that the loss of mone.y was due to luck, so many victims did not report and did not cooperate, refusing to provide information from the subjects."
