The noise in the family of the late artist Duc Tien has not shown signs of ending. Recently, a lawyer spoke out in defense of the male artist's biological mother, causing the story to continue to attract the attention of the public.
This person wrote: "A decision not easy. In the end, Ms. Anh - the mother of the late artist Duc Tien - chose to appeal. Because deep down, a mother still wants to find the truth and things that she thinks can be forgotten... Wish Ms. Anh in the upcoming journey will have completeness and happiness!"
Immediately after this article was posted, the wife of the late artist - Miss Binh Phuong - had a reaction. She posted a rebuttal, saying that her mother-in-law continued to dispute the property even though it had been divided by the court. Binh Phuong wrote: "Whatever comes, it will come. Not only Binh Phuong and Cat, but everyone really wants Duc Tien to rest in peace, but his biological mother does not allow him to rest in peace...
Therefore, the Lawyer team of (uncle) Nguyen Van Xuan will continue to protect Mr. Duc Tien's last will and protect the interests of the Cat. The court of first instance gave Mr. Tien's mother 2 billion 36 million (1/3 of the total assets in Vietnam is 7.2 billion), but Mr. Tien's biological mother still appealed."
She said that at the trial, Mr. Tien's mother said that there was nowhere to go except the house where Binh Phuong and her husband used to live. However, according to Binh Phuong, her mother-in-law owns a private house in Bien Hoa. When the court asked about this house, Mr. Tien's mother said that she had sold it with handwritten paper, although the system still recorded her name as the owner. Binh Phuong asked: "Because Mr. Tien's mother and sister have sold their own house in Bien Hoa and moved to the house of Binh Phuong and Mr. Tien, and declare that there is nowhere to go except this house and are determined to win the right to receive the house and land material, is it reasonable and legal? If Mr. Tien's mother has sold her own house in Bien Hoa, with the money Mr. Tien's mother received from the sale of her own house, the money Mr. Tien's mother received in Vietnam, plus 2 billion 36 million from the judgment of the Court of First Instance, do you think Mr. Tien's mother and sister will become homeless?"
Binh Phuong affirmed that she would protect her daughter's rights: "Like any responsible parent, Binh Phuong will protect her daughter and protect her rights."
Previously, Binh Phuong once shared about the legality of the will left by Duc Tien. She wrote: "This morning, the legal team of Duc Tien, Binh Phuong and Baby Cat consists of 3 seasoned lawyers, protecting the interests of Baby Cat of Ba Tien. Mr. Duc Tien's will was made with the witness of 2 witnesses, a notary and legalized at the Vietnamese consulate in the US. A will is a legal document that states how to handle a person's assets after they die â the deceased's last wish."
Binh Phuong also commented on the results: "Is there any reason not to apply the rules related to the law on inheritance under a will - law 644 for inheritance cases with a will? What if this happens?"
Currently, the case is still in the process of appeal and there is no final conclusion. In the midst of the controversy surrounding the will, property and inheritance, the public expressed the hope that the parties would soon find a common voice so that the late artist Duc Tien could be laid to rest, and let his family's story end in respect and sympathy.
