Government News website confirmed to strictly punish Huong Giang's transgender contest, fans discovered 1 thing?

Regarding the case that Miss Transgender Vietnam - Miss International Queen Vietnam 2023 held the contest illegally, recently, the Government Information page has officially reported on this issue.

Specifically, on April 14, the Government Information Facebook page had an article pointing to Miss Huong Giang who organized a contest that did not comply with the law. Notably, the Government Information page only named Miss Huong Giang's non-transgender name as "Mr. Nguyen Trung Hieu". It was later revised as "citizen Nguyen Trung Hieu".

Currently, the article has been edited with the information: 'The organization of a beauty contest (named "The Final Night - Perfect Ambassador Gala - Miss International Queen Vietnam 2023") without written consent agreement is completely inconsistent with the provisions of the law. Inspectors of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City have made a record of administrative violations against this unit and are verifying and completing the dossier and submitting it to the competent person for strict sanctions.

Previously, at a press conference on the socio-economic situation on the afternoon of April 13, a representative of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City announced information about the handling of violations against Huong Giang Co., Ltd. Entertainment. This is the organizer of the program of Perfect Ambassador 2023 - Miss Transgender Vietnam (Miss International Queen Vietnam) causing a stir in recent days.

Ms. Nguyen My Hanh, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Department of Culture and Information of Ho Chi Minh City, said that at 19:36 on April 8, the Department received information about the final program of the Perfect Ambassador 2023 held at a film studio in District 12.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Department's inspection representative actively coordinated with Team 3 of the Internal Political Security Division (PA03) of the City Police and the District 12 Culture and Information Office, proposing to nominate forces inspect and handle according to regulations," said Ms. Nguyen My Hanh.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Inspector of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with the Security Team of the District 12 Police (as requested by Division PA03), the Culture and Information Department of District 12 and the People's Committee of Tan Thoi Nhat Ward, District 12 to check out Zoom Media studio (address 44/1 Tan Thoi Nhat street, Tan Thoi Nhat ward, district 12, HCMC) - the location where the contest is taking place.

After the working process, the inspection team asked the organizer to stop the program with the reason that "organizing beauty and model contests without the written approval of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City". However, the organizers did not comply and continued to carry out the final program of Perfect Ambassador.

"A record of the incident was made at 20:20 on April 8 and ended at 22:30 on the same day for Huong Giang Entertainment. Representative Mr. Tran Huu Hiep signed the minutes", Ms. My. Hanh said.

On April 10, the Inspector of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Information had a meeting with director of Huong Giang Entertainment Limited - Nguyen Trung Hieu, born in 1991 (ie singer Huong Giang). At the meeting, Huong Giang admitted that she held a beauty contest, a model without written consent, violating the law.

The Department's inspectors made a record of administrative violations against Huong Giang Entertainment Limited on the conduct of organizing beauty contests without written consent (as specified in Clause 5, Article 12 of Decree No. 38/2021/ Decree-CP dated March 29, 2021 of the Government on sanctioning of administrative violations in the field of culture and advertising).

The Department of Culture and Information is currently completing the dossier and submitting it to the competent person to severely punish Huong Giang Entertainment Limited.

Perfect Ambassador 2023 - Miss Transgender Vietnam organized by Huong Giang Entertainment Limited - of Miss Huong Giang. This is a beauty contest for transgender people (from male to female) in the form of a reality TV show.

After the contest was noisy "unlicensed" on April 8, the media connected with Huong Giang to clarify the matter. However, Huong Giang refused to answer and said that the contest's media representative would make an official announcement later.

Previously, on the afternoon of February 23, the event to announce the top 20 Miss Transgender Vietnam organized by Huong Giang was also canceled at the last minute. The incident caused Huong Giang, guests, contestants and the media to leave despite being present.

Talking to the media, Ms. Pham Dac My Tran - Head of the Press Department of the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City confirmed that the program had to be canceled due to insufficient permits. The representative of the Department of Information added that because Huong Giang's side complied, stopped the event and left as soon as it was notified. Therefore, the Department only reminds and does not apply administrative sanctions.
