Artist Trang Thanh Lan's real name is Nguyen Le Lieu, born into a large family with no artistic tradition. When she was 16 years old, her family had a big incident. Her father passed away. Her difficult life made her decide to pursue art to find a living.

Standing at the pinnacle that many artists dreamed of at that time. In 1992, Trang Thanh Lan decided to leave Vietnam to settle in the United States. She recounted the night of her last performance at Ben Thanh Theater, she and the audience cried a lot because they did not know how long this separation would last. According to the original plan, she and her two children were sponsored by her sister, so they would go to the US and Quang Binh's husband would stay in Vietnam. But during the interview, when she opened her application and saw that it included a marriage certificate, the interviewer gave her the opportunity to bring her husband along. So just 1 month later, the whole family was in America.

During her time, her family faced many difficulties, but thanks to the money she received from singing while in Vietnam, her family's life was somewhat better. After that, she started accepting offers to do voiceovers for movies and do commercials. Most of the roles voiced by Trang Thanh Lan are personality and formidable roles. Trang Thanh Lan recalls: "I was 39 years old when I came to America. The first job I did was advertising for commercial establishments. I was a pioneer in filming commercials for Vietnamese stores and brands. in U.S.A.

I also dub movies to have money to support my two children's education. I often dub Hong Kong movies, with Viet Thao. I often voice fierce roles, causing fights from inside the house to the street, having to scream and yell a lot. That's why after dubbing, my throat bled.

I really respect the actors who specialize in dubbing movies because they can dub hundreds of episodes and I'm not familiar with them so I don't have the technique, I don't know how to time the dialogue and where to pause. The professional voice actors recorded very quickly, but I had to record until late at night and couldn't finish it."

After a difficult time struggling in the land of flowers, Trang Thanh Lam and her husband returned to work for Thuy Nga center. Here, the two also had many popular duets such as When I Marry You, Love Is An Injustice, Returning Love to the Homeland... Happiness did not last long in a foreign land when her marriage ended. disbanded, she and her husband went their separate ways. After a broken marriage, Trang Thanh Lan raised two children. Being an understanding person, her son often encouraged her to go out and meet people to relax. "The reason my husband and I divorced was because we ran out of debt, so it naturally broke down, but I didn't know the reason. When I got divorced, I was already dancing in comedy, so it's okay if I don't sing together. If someone calls, I'll go sing a show alone.

Later, I also had a boyfriend to go out and eat with, but for the past 15 years, I haven't known anyone, closed my heart, and put myself in the cold palace. I don't give anyone the opportunity to pursue or flirt.

Now, I just stay at home, having fun with my children and grandchildren. I have grandchildren and great-grandchildren, very happy. My life now is like practicing at home. In the morning, if my friends invite me to eat or go out, I go. When I come home in the afternoon, I have dinner with my son's family and then go to my room to watch movies and social networks at night," she smiled, her eyes also flashing with happiness in her late age.
