He was taken to a provincial hospital by his family but was quickly transferred to a higher level.

The surgery was scheduled for 6 a.m. the next morning. When pushed into the operating room, Khanh clearly felt the cold running down his spine. Under the light, the smell of antiseptic rose to his nose, the whole space was only the jingling of surgical instruments, Khanh did not know that this was the last time he was present in this life or not.

After 5 hours of surgery, Khanh woke up in a coma. In Khanh's mind appeared the question: "Is this me?". Opening his eyes on his body with entangled tubes, his mouth was stuffed with something.

"I reached down to see if my legs were still there. My hands touched down and felt two bandages under my thighs... I knew that I lost my truth...", Khanh lamented. .

Twice crossing the death door, Khanh continued to stay in the hospital for 4 months at Cho Ray hospital. Once a day, every 30 minutes, he was visited and encouraged by his relatives. Khanh did not dare to cry for fear of making everyone cry. Looking at his parents and two younger brothers, his eyes were dark and puffy, his heart sank. There was a time when he wanted to kill himself so as not to hurt everyone, but after seeing the tears of his old father who had never once succumbed to fate, he understood that his existence was the motivation. , hope in this life of parents.

In December 2019, Khanh met Nick Vujicic and realized that living is already a happy thing. "The conversation with Nick helped me realize that people with disabilities are not a burden on society. Khanh started an online sales job to earn income and set up a personal Youtube channel to share about events and how he overcame, inspiring and optimistic spirit to the community.

Previously, when he had an accident, his family did not have enough money to continue treatment, he received everyone's help. Therefore, now that he is healthy and has a stable life, he wishes to share difficulties with those in unfortunate circumstances.
