Homer Laffoon, son of Heche, painfully confirmed the sad news. He said in the statement: "Brother Atlas and I have lost our mother. After 6 days of almost unbelievable emotional upheaval, I am left with only deep, indescribable sadness. I hope you are not. more pain. Rest in peace mom, I love you."
MC Ellen Lee DeGeneres - Heche's once famous gay lover - expressed on Twitter: "I send all this love to Anne's children, family and friends." The tweet came shortly after ET published the news of Heche's death.
According to information, even though Heche died legally under California law, her heart was still beating. The actress's family allowed One Legacy - an organization specializing in the rehabilitation of non-profit agencies - to find a suitable heart recipient.
