After Donald Trump was elected President of the United States, a prophecy from 24 years ago suddenly became hot again, causing a global shock. Mr. Trump himself must have been surprised when he learned the content.
Right now, the US presidential election has come to an end when Donald Trump won convincingly over Kamala Harris. As of 1:15 p.m. on Nov. 6, Trump had won 61 electoral votes, with nearly 90 percent of the votes counted in four battleground states: Georgia (16 electoral votes), North Carolina (16 electoral votes), Wisconsin (10 votes) and Pennsylvania (19 votes), bringing the total number of electoral votes available to 277 votes. This number exceeded the 270 electoral votes needed to win the race for the White House in 2024.
The news of Mr. Trump's election immediately created a never-ending wave of debate on social networking sites and media outlets. But most agreed, believing that this was a worthy victory for the support of the large number of loyal voters. In the midst of the flow of exciting opinions, many netizens have "dug up" an episode in the hit series " The Simpsons", revolving around the results of the 2024 US presidential seat from 24 years ago.
Accordingly, around the beginning of 2000, the episode "Bart To The Future" introduced Lisa as President of the United States. Here, Lisa wears a purple suit, dotted with a necklace and pearl earrings. This familiar appearance reminds the audience of the typical image of Kamala Harris.
Therefore, the prediction of Ms. Harris' victory is even more grounded when the film is broadcast again. Not to mention, the female politician also announced her candidacy for President in 2024 - the same year that "The Simpsons" had originally predicted. However, unlike previous "lucky" times, the film has rarely failed to predict the outcome of this US presidential election when the victory called Donald Trump's name.
"The Simpsons", after more than 30 years on the air, is not only the spiritual food of each family but also famous for its ability to predict some future events in a strange way. Although most of these predictions are just coincidences, the puzzling phenomenon is still impressive, giving rise to many conspiracy theories surrounding the film.
The most typical is the episode "New York City vs. Homer Simpson" (1997) when a billboard with the images "9" and "11" correctly predicted the terrible event of the Twin Towers on September 11, 2021, causing a global shock. Or "Lisa on Ice" (1994) when the boy Homer used an operating system with an interface similar to Windows 95, before this classic operating system was officially launched in 1995.
In addition, there are other popular predictions such as the 2011 Japan earthquake and tsunami disaster, video call technology, the 2008 financial crisis, etc. Although these predictions come true unexpectedly, such as "cosmic signals" or "spirituality," they can be explained by a number of logical reasons.
Firstly, "The Simpsons" is a long-running show, with thousands of episodes, so the rate of having some coincidental events is very high. Second, many of the above "predictions" are technological or social concepts that are gradually becoming popular at the time the film airs. Therefore, the ideas may have been inspired by future trends by the screenwriter.
Not only "The Simpsons" was embarrassed by false prophecy, but historian, professor Allan Lichtman - who correctly predicted the results of 9 of the 10 most recent US presidential elections also shared the same fate when he said Vice President Kamala Harris would win.
Lichtman's prediction system, known as the "Key to the White House," runs through 13 metrics on a checklist to calculate the final prediction, ignoring the polls used in the race for the White House.
"Why am I sure Mrs. Harris will win? Because right now there are only very close polls and my system ignores these polls," Lichtman said on Wednesday.
He said polls are often just "quick slices" with a large margin of error and that "people may not respond to pollsters, they lie, they change their minds and they have to guess who the people who are likely to vote are."
Historian Lichtman is one of the few who correctly predicted that Donald Trump would win the 2016 election. "I didn't have a lot of support at the time," he recalled.
Mr. Lichtman's 13-point system, which is based solely on a series of "yes" or "no" questions, will consider a number of factors and contexts, such as whether there was social unrest during the previous president's term, whether the economy is in recession, and whether the incumbent president faces a major recession during his term.
Although confident in his prediction, Lichtman said he remains worried, partly because of the unprecedented number of harassment and hate crimes he and his family have suffered, and partly because "real democracy is on the ballot here."
On November 5 (US time), millions of American voters will go to the polls to choose the next president between Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and Republican candidate Donald Trump. Opinion polls in the days leading up to the election showed mixed predictions about the candidate who would win, but they all reflect a very tight race for the White House this year.
Nationwide aggregate polls assess voter sentiment, but it is each state and their Electoral College votes that ultimately determine the outcome of the election that does not always match the results of the popular vote.
In 2016, Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton won the popular election, but the eventual winner was Mr. Trump due to having more electoral votes.
Cardi B was "muddy" when Mr. Trump was elected, Taylor Swift was unusually silent Nguyễn Tuyết22:45:28 07/11/2024Receiving the results of Mr. Trump's election as President of the United States, a group of artists who sided with Kamala Harris constantly vented their anger on social networks. Some people even expressed overflowing disappointment when they heard the news.
