"Detective Kien" Quoc Huy: A Vietnamese screen hero, married for over 10 years but has no children

Quoc Huy was born in 1986 in Can Tho. Thanks to his handsome, romantic appearance and good acting skills, which have improved over the years, the audience affectionately calls him the Vietnamese version of Jang Dong Gu.n or Huynh Tong Trach.

The actor of The Last Wife shared that his artistic career has been quite smooth. When he was a second-year student at the theater school, he had the opportunity to play the main role in the TV series Saigon Five Freaks. After that, Quoc Huy regularly participated in several films each year and recently had the opportunity to enter the cinema. Quoc Huy said Detective Kien is not only a dramatic detective film but also recreates the beauty of Vietnamese culture. The actor and his colleagues focused on transforming themselves so that the audience would believe the character lived in the right period and conveyed Vietnamese culture.

This role not only requires psychological acting ability but also requires Quoc Huy to perform dramatic action scenes such as horse riding, sword fightin.g... and life-and-death chases. Quoc Huy shared that action scenes are a big challenge, but also an opportunity for him to show the character's strength and determination. Besides, to succeed in the role of Detective Kien, he must focus very much on applying acting skills.

Quoc Huy shared: "It's been 2 years since filming The Last Wife, there's no certainty that I can maintain the same form or charisma as when filming the previous film. Recasting with my perspective is necessary, because the character of detective Kien is now the main character. This requires the person taking on the role to have more emotions and acting. I really had to rehearse, start over like a blank page. Luckily, Victor still found this character in me."

Over the years, he has spent time learning and accumulating professional experience. Through each role, he knows where he is lacking and tries to improve. "I think that my 40s are the right ag.e for me, when I have enough confidence and acting ability to take on big works. I want to portray complex roles with clear character traits. Before, I was not confident enough and needed to learn a lot. Through each bad role, I learned a lesson for myself to try harder and become more mature," he shared.

Sharing his passion for acting, Quoc Huy confided that he loves his job very much, always tries his best for each role but does not dare to set too many expectations. The actor believes that to be famous and shine, in addition to talent, one needs to have fate and cannot force it. According to Quoc Huy, besides famous names, there are still many people like him, who despite trying, do not have the fate to portray a role that leaves an impression on the audience. Therefore, he does not feel discouraged but instead continues to try, practice his craft and wait for opportunities.

Marriage over 11 years no children still happy

Being a private person, few people know that Quoc Huy has been married for more than 10 years. Talking about the reason why he rarely shares his personal life, the actor from Can Tho confided that he is quite an introvert. Regarding family and private matters, he just wants to keep a small corner for himself so that he feels comfortable. "I don't want the people around me to be noticed and gossiped about, which would affect them. Outside, I want the audience to know me through my works, I don't want people to know me just because of personal matters," he shared.
