As of April 29, the song has recorded more than two billion views, more than 800,000 uses to create content, spreading patriotism on social networks. Emerging on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, "Writing the Story of Peace" quickly appeared on digital music charts, becoming a phenomenon on TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts and Instagram.

The song appeared in many major art programs and student festivals nationwide. The remix version by producer Duc Tu helped the song go viral overnight.

It is known that the opportunity to collaborate between her and the song's creator was in 2021. At the height of the epidemic, Duyen Quynh joined the volunteer group "Sharing the epidemic season" and here she met musician Nguyen Van Chung.

Sharing the same compassion and passion for music, the two quickly found common ground and decided to collaborate more in music.

By the end of 2023, when Nguyen Van Chung cherished making an album about his homeland, Duyen Quynh also expressed her desire to make a music product to pay tribute to her father - a veteran - and his comrades.

It was that empathy that brought the two artists to this meaningful music project. "Quynh wanted to make a product for Quynh's father, a veteran, and his comrades. We coincidentally shared and met at that time" - musician Nguyen Van Chung recalls the opportunity to collaborate with Duyen Quynh.

In the album Continuing the story of peace released at the end of 2023, on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, Duyen Quynh is the singer who performs the theme song of the album.

Singer Duyen Quynh said that during her business trip to the Northwest at the end of 2024, she prayed for the song to spread. "When I received the remix, I agreed immediately. I didn't expect that the next morning, my phone would be flooded with messages and notifications. The feeling at that time could only be described in two words: bursting," she said.

The original version of the song had a lively rhythm but was adjusted to better suit the sacred spirit of the name Continue the story of peace. As soon as she heard the new version, Duyen Quynh immediately agreed and did not make any further changes.

The verse that moved her the most was: "Grateful to the soldiers who forgot their own feelings and even themselves. Flowing in their hearts is the ho.t blood of Lac Hong", recalling the silent sacrifices from wartime to today.

In addition to the melody and lyrics, the release of three versions - the original, the epic and the remix - also helps the song reach a wide audience, both solemn for a big event and suitable for young people.

Thanks to the viral effect, Duyen Quynh became a sought-after face, performing four to five times a day in many provinces and cities. "Continuing the story of peace is not only a hit but also opens a new chapter in my career," she shared.

Self-funded MV

Coming from a poor family, Duyen Quynh has been financially independent since childhood and has been careful when investing in music products. She prioritizes releasing digital music and limits making MVs because of the high costs.

Initially, with Continue Writing the Story of Peace - the title track of the album at the end of 2023 - she also intended to only release audio. However, the strong emotions from the song and the encouragement of musician Nguyen Van Chung made her change her decision. "In the past, I was asked to do it but I still felt sorry for the mone.y," Nguyen Van Chung joked, recalling her hesitation.

After the album was released and received positive feedback, Duyen Quynh invested in making a staged version of the MV, both supporting the performing units and helping the song reach a wider audience.

The initiative to change plans helped Continue the story of peace become a highlight in the singer's career.

After this success, Duyen Quynh expressed her desire to continue pursuing the music of her homeland and country with a close and inspiring performance for the younger generation. "I hope that songs about patriotism will be naturally accepted in life, without dogma but still full of pride," she said.

Personal life and journey to music

Nguyen Duyen Quynh was born in 1990 in Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak. From a young ag.e, she showed her talent for singing and was supported by her family, especially her mother, to pursue art. Duyen Quynh's mother was the one who guided her in her first steps, taking her on stage to perform from the ag.e of 4-5 and even teaching her to play the drums.

Despite opposition from some relatives, her mother "went against the whole family" to pave the way for her daughter to enter the artistic path. Thanks to that encouragement, Duyen Quynh soon nurtured her musical dream and passed the entrance exam to the Vocal Music Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music.

After graduating, Duyen Quynh spent a long time working as a backup singer before officially debuting as a professional singer.
