Accordingly, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang used to be named Nguyen Thi Thanh Tuyen, born on January 26, 1971. In 2002, according to the investigation conclusion of the Nam Cam case, Ms. Tuyen had known D.D.G (a close junior of Nam Cam) since 1996.

Also according to Vietnamnet, in May 2012, the Security Investigation Agency - Ministry of Public Security initiated a case and prosecuted the defendant Tran Van Thin for "forging documents".
