The rescue team and officers of the Commune People's Committee were at the scene after 15 minutes, taking the victim to an emergency at Dong Van General Hospital. Mr. Ly Van Dong, chairman of the People's Committee of Pai Lung commune (Meo Vac district) said that the victim was lucky not to break his leg despite bone pain and soft tissue injury. On the same day, relatives were present to bring the male tourist to the locality. According to Mr. Dong, this male tourist from Son La accompanied another friend to Ha Giang to travel. When climbing out of the "death" cliff to check-in, he slipped and fell down the cliff at a height of about 13 meters.

At this time, because of the cliff area, there was no way, so the rescue team had to carry and pull and it took more than an hour to bring the victim up from the cliff. In the initial condition, the male tourist had a lot of bleeding, a 20cm leg cut with a stone, suspected femur fracture.

In the afternoon, the doctors finished giving first aid to the victim, the male tourist was then quite awake and stable.

Mr. Dong also said that the road to this cliff is undulating and extremely dangerous. Today the weather is beautiful, clear, without fog or frost, maybe because the male tourist was dizzy with the height, so he slipped.

Mr. Dong added that "the cliff of death" is called by many tourists as a virtual living cliff, lying high and precarious. The climbing path is about 30 to 40 meters long, difficult to walk, has many sharp and slippery rocks. The local government has placed two warning signs and many warnings, but many tourists still come here to take pictures.

Previously, in Son Tra Peninsula, a similar case occurred, but the consequences were more severe. On the night of August 27, a group of 4 people from Ho Chi Minh City and Thua Thien - Hue, went to visit Son Tra peninsula and got lost in the forest road leading from Banyan Tree to Mui Nghe. One person in this group got lost, the other three used flashlights and shouted to find friends.

Then, Mr. Tran Long Khai (30 years old, residing in Gio Linh District, Quang Tri Province) was fishing in the area of Mui Nghe when he heard the cry for help and went with a fisherman to rescue the group. On the way to rescue, unfortunately, Mr. Khai fell into the abyss, broke his leg, and suffered a severe head injury that led to his death.

According to Mr. Phan Minh Hai, deputy director of the management board of Son Tra peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches, the group of tourists got lost in the forest route from the Banyan tree tourist site along the trail towards the sea to the area. Mui Nghe area. This is a primeval forest area, there is no policy on tourism exploitation, but the current situation has roads for people to live, people often go fishing, so tourists also follow to explore Son Tra.
