Her mother often wins coconut oil to make makeup remover for her two children, Minh Tien and Phuong Mai (the siblings of Meritorious Artist Phuong Hang, both reformed artists). When she extracted the oil from the bottle that was left at the bottom of the pot, she used to rub it on her daughter's hair. Up to now, Meritorious Artist Phuong Hang still keeps her long hair, "so that it's easy to do" when wearing makeup, which is also a valuable asset she keeps and memories from when she was nourished with coconut oil by her mother, cooked with locusts and washed her hair. .

Phuong Hang was born on February 6, 1967. A year later was the General Offensive and the Tet Offensive. When the country was still at war, wherever the family sang, Phuong Hang followed, from the West to the Central region, to the Central Highlands.

Once in Gia Lai, when I heard that there was shelling at Pleiku airport, the whole group had to wash up in people's houses to drag down the reefs (underground shelters). Then everyone had to evacuate. Everything was too rushed, the equipment and props of the troupe had to be left behind, everyone took care of themselves. At first, they still rode on Phu Bon street, then went up the pass to Tuy Hoa (Phu Yen). When the car could not go, the whole group of displaced people walked on a bumpy road, crossing Cong Son stream.

Remaining in the immature memory of the seven- or eight-year-old child that year was a voiceless cry: "Dad, don't leave me!". Phuong Hang said, the crowd was too large, parents kept holding their hands tightly, afraid that they would lose their daughter if they let go. Just like that, the whole family led each other back to their hometown Dong Thap. Those years left unforgettable memories in Phuong Hang's heart.

The title "Queen is a bit long"

After the unification of the country, the whole family returned to the East of the Red Land, according to the Dong Nai people's union. At the age of 12, Phuong Hang was invited by the People's Voice of Ho Chi Minh City to sing ancient songs: I dreamed of meeting Uncle Ho, Red earth rose ... 15 years old, Phuong Hang officially joined the Tinh Hoa singing group. But that was also the time when she was most bewildered. It's too old to work as a child digger, and it's not good to be a main digger. No outstanding opportunity. "If this is the case, what should I do?" - The little girl kept asking herself. Many nights, Phuong Hang prayed to the Ancestor of Karma: "If the Patriarch directs me to this path, please give me the opportunity to sing the main peach song so that I have a future...".

The most important night of Phuong Hang's career, her parents stood in the wings looking out. Before her daughter's performance, her mother told her: "You just sing naturally, then the lights in the stands are off, only the light on the stage. Don't think there is an audience below, but sing as if the stage is on stage. Now it's just me." Minh Tien, Phuong Mai and the aunts and uncles in the group also gave many words of encouragement and trust. The velvet curtain slowly opened, Phuong Hang nervously stepped out onto the stage.

It was the night of the play Durian Leaves, at the Rach Gia theater (Kien Giang). Phuong Hang plays Dieu when she was young and just had a baby. That night, when the velvet curtain closed, "Miss Dieu" was so happy that she couldn't sleep. Even though I've gone into bed, I'm still lying in bed singing songs that I'll be able to perform on the following nights: Pham Cong Cuc Hoa, The Throne and the female general...

On successful performances of her daughter, her parents just stood behind the stage smiling and satisfied. Sticking with the Tinh Hoa group for a while, she switched to the Huong Bien group, then the Hau Gian group, then the Tay Ninh 3 group...

The opportunities to replace Phuong Hang from when she was still a child digging until she became the main peach in the Tinh Hoa group, it can be said that it is Phuong Hang's luck. As for the decision to join Trung Hieu's reformed group, it was her choice - a choice that, when she talked about it later, she believed that all the roads she went through with the Cai Luong stage were an arrangement. that the Congregation gave her. It was in Trung Hieu's group that Phuong Hang's name shone with artist Chau Thanh. And Phuong Hang's legendary long breath also began to make an unforgettable impression in the hearts of the audience.
