Once, when the Trung Vuong group set up a theater in Dien Truong (My Tho, Tien Giang), Thanh Nguyet suddenly saw her mother's figure from afar, she was so happy that she burst into tears. On the way from Bac Lieu to Saigon to visit her first child, she happened to see a billboard advertising the night of the show with the name Thanh Nguyet, an old mother riding a buggy to visit her son. "At that time, I still wore my grandmother's shirt and black pants like in the days when I was in the countryside. My mother said that she looked very good, I hope her daughter will keep her simple country style like that. She stayed for a day and planned to watch me sing, but Unfortunately, the group did not have a performance that night," - Meritorious Artist Thanh Nguyet said sadly.

Since then, she has not had the opportunity to visit the choir to visit her daughter again.

The elderly mother quietly passed away in the night after a period of serious illness. Thanh Nguyet received the news while performing the play Vietnamese Mother in Van Gia town (Van Ninh, Khanh Hoa). It was around the end of 1963. Her hair is also gray now, but the memory of the day when she couldn't see her mother's face for the last time was forever imprinted in her subconscious.
