Meritorious Artist Minh Vuong: U70 living alone, no husband or children, many illnesses but still optimistic

Meritorious Artist Minh Vuong's daily life is somewhat ordinary. Compared to her eventful career, the love life of the female artist born in 1958 is somewhat more private and quiet.

Meritorious Artist Minh Vuong is one of the most veteran names in the Northern comedy scene. Her real name is Nguyen Minh Phuong, born in 1958 in Hanoi in a family of 6 siblings. Since she was a chil.d, Meritorious Artist Minh Vuong has watched all kinds of plays on stage at Luong Yen cinema. That is why she always cherished the dream of becoming a famous and talented actress.

Despite her passion, Meritorious Artist Minh Vuong's early years pursuing an acting career were not very smooth. She was admitted to many art schools and famous "cradles" of artist training such as: Hanoi Cheo Troupe, General Department of Logistics Drama Troupe but failed because her parents did not support her.

In 1974, Meritorious Artist Minh Vuong passed the entrance exam to the Drama Department of Hanoi University of Arts and graduated smoothly in 1978. After 4 years of studying and training, the female artist began working at the Hanoi Drama Theater. However, when she first entered the profession, she was not able to perform immediately due to her physical limitations.

Later, when fate came, Meritorious Artist Minh Vuong made his mark with many impressive roles such as: Ba ma trieu in Gia kon, Kieu Nhung in Vo chong hoam,... These were also 2 roles that helped the female artist win 2 Gold Medals within one day at the National Drama Festival in 1991.

In addition to her role as a stage actress, Meritorious Artist Minh Vuong is also "familiar" to Northern television audiences when participating in the famous comedy show Meet at the Weekend. Not only that, she also plays the role of Tao in the shows Meet at the End of the Year. In recent years, audiences have also seen Meritorious Artist Minh Vuong appear in many popular television series such as: A Lifetime of Enmity, Family 4.0, Ordered Bride, Returning to Love, Mom, Where's Dad?,...

In addition to her role as an actress, Meritorious Artist Minh Vuong is also a lecturer at many colleges and universities of art in Hanoi. In 2012, the female artist also tried her hand at directing many other large and small projects.

Although famous nationwide, Meritorious Artist Minh Vuong has had a rather troubled personal life. For many years, Meritorious Artist Minh Vuong has lived alone in a small house in the Bach Khoa apartment complex in Hanoi.

At the ag.e of nearly 70, she has never been married and has no children. Talking about her love life, the Meritorious Artist shared with Nguoi Dua Tin newspaper that, according to Buddhist beliefs, she has no debt to her husband or children.

Meritorious Artist Minh Vuong said that he once had a love affair but it was not destined to last. "After studying together for 4 years, there were people who carried their love in their hearts but did not say it. After graduating, 30-40 years later, at a class reunion, someone confessed to me: "I used to love you so much, but I couldn't say anything". I said "Why didn't you say it? It's too late now". Actually, that person loved me, I also loved that person but couldn't say it", Meritorious Artist Minh Vuong shared.

She decided not to get married since she was young. The female artist added to the Tri Thuc Magazine - Znews: "I have two terrible diseases: heart disease and arthritis. Even if someone loves me, I cannot be with them completely. I will leave the matter of marrying a man for the next life, but in this life, Minh Vuong is married to the stage," she said.

At the ag.e of nearly 70, she has many diseases such as diabetes, high bloo.d pressure, bone and joint diseases, cardiovascular diseases and has also suffered many strokes, critical illness, and once had a bloo.d infection that she thought would not survive. Sharing with Gia dinh & Xa hoi newspaper, Meritorious Artist Minh Vuong said that every month she has to spend from 25-35 million VND on medicine.

Recently, on her personal page, artist Minh Vuong posted a photo in the hospital with the message: "Thank you to the doctors of the orthopedic trauma hospital and the anesthesia and resuscitation team for their enthusiastic help." The female artist said that she broke her leg and had to be hospitalized for treatment. Despite her injury, she still maintains an optimistic energy.

When she is not sick at home, artist Minh Vuong also likes to go into the kitchen and show off her cooking skills. On her personal page, she often shares many delicious rustic dishes that she has prepared such as braised fish, fried shrimp, vermicelli with crab soup, vermicelli with pork ribs and meatballs... If she can arrange the time, she will meet and chat with old friends and colleagues.
