On the afternoon of March 8, Ms. Le Thi Chau, Chief Inspector of the Dak Lak Department of Health, said that there were preliminary inspection results at ASIA LIFE Joint Stock Company, Ea Tu commune (Buon Ma Thuot city) - this is a Kera vegetable candy production unit advertised by Hang Du Muc, Quang Linh Vlogs on social networks, causing a stir in public opinion.

According to Ms. Chau, the unit inspected and initially noted that there were no vegetable gardens planted by this company on the premises of the head office. The Department of Health is taking samples and sending them for testing to have an accurate conclusion.

Regarding this, Mr. Huynh Phu, Deputy Director of the factory (ASIA LIFE Joint Stock Company) said that in November 2024, he will officially cooperate with Sister Rot Group Joint Stock Company (Sister Rot Company), at 144-146-148 Street No. 11, Quarter 5, An Phu Ward, Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City).

"We make 1 product, Kera vegetable candy for Sister Rot Company. However, the recipe is given by our partners. Up to now, the unit has delivered 3 orders to partners, equivalent to about 50 thousand boxes," Mr. Phu informed.

Another representative of ASIA LIFE Joint Stock Company said that the unit only produces Kera vegetable candies according to the order of Sister Rot Company led by Hang "Du Muc", Quang Linh Vlogs... administer.

"The announcement of products is carried out by Ms. Rot Company, we will package as requested. We don't know how Sister Rot Company advertises and sells products," said a representative of ASIA LIFE Joint Stock Company.

Previously, on March 6, the Department of Food Safety (Ministry of Health) received information that Kera vegetable candy products announced by Sister Rot Group Joint Stock Company, at 144-146-148 Street No. 11, Quarter 5, An Phu Ward, Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City) showed signs of violations on food advertising. This product is manufactured at ASIA LIFE Joint Stock Company (No. 18/99 Nguyen Van Linh, Ea Tu Commune, Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak).

Immediately afterwards, the Department of Food Safety requested the Department of Health of Dak Lak province to urgently direct the inspection of ASIA LIFE Joint Stock Company.

On March 7, the Department of Health of Dak Lak issued a decision to establish an inspection team of ASIA LIFE Joint Stock Company.

ASIA LIFE Joint Stock Company is required to report on the situation of food safety assurance at the facility, provide records and documents related to the inspection.

Recently, Hang Du Mu and Quang Linh Vlogs advertised Kera vegetable candy with high fiber value, "1 candy is equal to a whole plate of vegetables". However, the inspection results show the opposite.

After being reacted to by people in the industry, Hang Du Mu took responsibility for this mistake and apologized to customers as well as people working in the bird's nest industry.

And Quang Linh Vlogs advertised a candy product in many of his livestream sessions, affirming: "A candy is equivalent to a plate of vegetables" and this product is for "people who can't eat vegetables, seeing vegetables is running"...

When condemned by the online community for false advertising, Quang Linh Vlogs apologized for misunderstanding customers and said that he had adjusted in subsequent livestream sessions; at the same time, he affirmed that he did not deliberately advertise excessively.

The above incidents have caused many people to be concerned about dishonest advertising on social networks, negatively affecting consumer confidence.

Talking to PV VietNamNet, lawyer Tran Tuan Anh, Director of Minh Bach Law Firm, said that Hang Du Mu and Quang Linh Vlogs are celebrities and have great influence on social networks. Besides advertising for brands, the two also own their own companies and sell their branded products. However, recently, they have been continuously entangled in scandals related to false advertising, exaggerating product uses, causing a stir in public opinion.

After that, these TikTokers apologized again. A circle repeats when they sell despite all means, exaggerate the use of the product, when they are reacted to, apologize and it's done.

Meanwhile, the sale of products that are not as guaranteed as advertised can have a negative impact on health, causing damage to consumers. If such incidents continue to recur, it can cause social confusion and erode people's trust.

Lawyer Tran Tuan Anh said that there are currently many legal documents regulating this to protect consumers, such as Decree 72 of the Government on the management, provision and use of Internet services and online information, the Law on Advertising (2024), the Law on Cyber Security (2015), etc code of conduct on social networks and cyberspace.

For acts of false advertising that are illegal and prohibited under Clause 7, Article 109 of the Commercial Law 2005 and Clause 9, Article 8 of the Law on Advertising 2012.
