After more than 1 day of the mini apartment fire in Khuong Ha Street (Khuong Dinh Ward, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi City) still makes many people shocked. On the morning of September 14, a large number of people took turns wearing rain to lay flowers in memory of the 56 ill-fated victims.
The fire that occurred late on September 12 at a 9-storey mini apartment in the alley of 29 Khuong Ha Street (Khuong Dinh Ward, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi) has caused many people to feel sorry. After nearly 1 day since the terrible fire, many people are still shocked because the fire caused many casualties, heavy damage to people and property.
As noted by Thanh Nien, on the morning of 14.9 Hanoi had heavy rain, but a large number of people came to the alley of 29 Khuong Ha Street, where the mini apartment was burnt to lay flowers, burn incense to commemorate the 56 ill-fated victims.
At the scene, authorities remained on guard, and off-duty persons were not allowed to enter or leave. In addition to cordoning off the scene, authorities also assisted those who came here to burn incense.
Ms. Mai Thi Hien (office worker on Khuong Ha Street) said, taking advantage of the break in the middle of this morning, she and 4 colleagues brought yellow chrysanthemums and incense compresses to commemorate the victims.
"It's so traumatic, I've never seen a fire so catastrophic. My company has collectively donated and sent representatives to burn incense for the victims and asked the ward authorities to receive donations, on our behalf to help the relatives of the victims who are facing many difficulties," Hien said.
Footage showed that under the rain in Hanoi, many people still wearing rain quietly came underneath the apartment, laid flowers and spent a few minutes remembering the 56 victims who succumbed to the fire. This image therefore made many people choke and lament.
Also on September 14, at the cultural house No. 8 (Khuong Dinh ward), a large number of people came here to donate essential items for the victims. Some residents even joined hands to support shelter for those lucky enough to escape.
On 13/9, the funeral home of Military Hospital 103 (Ha Dong District, Hanoi) held a ceremony for people to identify their relatives. Other victims who were more fortunate to be successfully rescued were then put into treatment at many medical facilities in Hanoi such as Bach Mai Hospital, Dong Da District General Hospital, Ha Dong General Hospital, Hanoi Medical University Hospital... According to doctors, most of the victims were in critical condition due to CO asphyxiation, injuries or jumping from high floors to find a way out.
According to information in Lao Lao newspaper, Secretary of Thanh Xuan District Committee said that Hanoi City will initially provide temporary housing support and 6-month rent for people affected in the fire. For victims who do not survive, Hanoi City supports 42 million VND/person, with injuries of 12.4 million VND/person.
In addition, Hanoi City also has a policy to support temporary housing for all households affected by the fire with a maximum of 5 million VND/household, individuals from 1-1.5 million VND/person.
Along with that, Thanh Xuan district also provides support to families of casualties of VND 5 million/person, injured victims of VND 2 million/person.
Leaders and local authorities also visited health facilities to visit. In addition, support the family members of the victims who did not survive to bring their relatives back to their hometowns for burial. For those wishing to hold a funeral at the funeral home, the hospital will receive maximum support.
Regarding the mini-apartment fire that killed 56 people, the Hanoi Police Investigation Department decided to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and issue a temporary arrest warrant for Nghiem Quang Minh (born in 1979, in Cau Giay district) who is the owner of the apartment for violating regulations on fire protection.
Notably, according to the building permit, only 6 floors are allowed to be built, but the owner has expanded it to 9 floors and 1 tum.
Around 23:50 on September 12, at No. 37, lane 29/70 Khuong Ha Street, an area of over 200m2 with about 150 people living, there was a fire
Immediately after receiving the notification, the Hanoi Police Command Center dispatched the Police Fire Protection and Rescue Team of Thanh Xuan District Police, University of Fire and Rescue ... with nearly 20 fire engines arriving at the scene, organizing search and rescue and firefighting.
In the afternoon of September 13, information from Hanoi Police, the mini-apartment fire caused particularly serious consequences, the number of people lost up to 56 people, of which, the identity of 39/56 people did not survive. In addition to those who did not survive, authorities identified 37 injured.
