Besides the blind prophet Baba Vanga, in the world there was once a character who had prophecies about the destiny of the earth. This person is also considered the first person to have these prophecies, hundreds of years before Vanga.
Nostradamus (1503 - 1566), Latin name Michel de Nostredame, was a famous French astrologer and doctor. He was the first prophet remembered for his ability to predict the fate of the world over a long period of time, up to several centuries. Referring to his most prominent predictions, we can list some important events in world history such as the French Revolution, the period of Adolf Hitler's rampage, the case of President John F Kennedy, the terrible incident. took place on September 11, 2001, the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020,...
Nostradamus did not simply record his prophecies but wrote a book of poems titled "Les Propheties" (Prophecies) in 1555. In this book of poems, he composed a total of 942 verses, contains predictions about the future. is said to be Nostradamus's prediction of future events. In 2023, this prophet correctly predicted an increase in food prices, a record hot climate,... so many people are curious about what he predicted for 2024.
Accordingly, Nostradamus warned that by 2024, the global climate will become more harsh and chaotic through the verse: "The arid Earth will become more and more arid, and then the floods will scare us." . The harshness of the climate is clearly evident. However, the French mystic also predicted that "huge famine due to pestilence", referring to food scarcity due to pests destroying crops, the source of epidemics and famine.
The US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) recently announced that in 2024, about 30% of the climate will be hotter than 2023 and 99% of this year will be one of the 5 hottest years on the calendar. history.
Nostradamus was born in southern France, the son of a wealthy wheat merchant and notary. He belongs to a Jewish family that converted to Christianity. From an early age, Nostradamus showed aptitude for mathematics, astronomy and astrology.
At the age of 15, Nostradamus entered Avignon University to study for a baccalaureate degree, but more than a year later he dropped out under the impact of the black pandemic (plague). In 1529, after several years of practicing as a pharmacist, he pursued a doctorate in medicine at the University of Montpelier, but was discovered to have practiced medicine and was expelled from the school.
Refusing to give up his passion, Notradamus continued to "secretly" practice making medicine to save people. However, a plague suddenly struck and took the lives of his neighbors and all members of his family. Faced with great pain, Nostradamus left his homeland and wandered to many places in France and Italy. Feeling melancholy and miserable, Nostradamus found a passion for mystical science.
In 1547, he settled in Salon, married a wealthy widow and had six children. Three years later, Nostradamus released the first Almanac, later considered the New Bible, in the form of poems predicting what would happen in the future.
To predict the future, Nostradamus wrote more than 1,000 great poems and became famous prophecies. To avoid government scrutiny, he often used wordplay, using Greek, Latin, Italian, Hebrew and Arabic languages.
His book Les propheties (The Prophecies) was released, causing many mixed reactions from the public. Some people consider him an agent of evil, an arrogant and deceitful person, but there are also many people who support him, especially the aristocracy.
According to Nostradamus fans, in this book, the prophet predicted most of the major events that occurred from the 16th century onwards, such as the French Revolution, World War I, the Princess Diana's death or the Apollo landing on the Moon.
All of Nostradamus's prophecies are vaguely worded, confusing, and can only be verified after the event has occurred. Nostradamus even predicted his death, that he would not live past July 1, 1566. "I will leave before dawn," he once said. The next morning, his family discovered him lying on the floor.
He even foretold that his tomb would be desecrated. When the diggers lifted the lid of Nostradamus' tomb, they were horrified to see that he was holding in his hand a metal plate engraved with the words: May 1791. That was the time they excavated the tomb.
Nostradamus was initially buried in a church in Salon and later moved to the Church of St. Laurent. Nostradamus's tomb is still preserved in France. For the past 400 years, Michel de Nostradamus's prophecies have been difficult for scientists to explain. Of his more than 1,000 predictions, more than half have come true.
