The Russian blind prophet Baba Vanga is world-famous for his ability to predict "like a god" of major human events. But it was those closest to her who did not believe in those predictions that cost them their lives.
The blind prophet Baba Vanga is known for his ability to predict many future events. In fact, she often made predictions about the future in the form of metaphors, and most of those predictions came true. Therefore, people began to call her a messenger returning from the future. Many of her predictions have come true. Although she has been dead for 28 years, her prophecies are still given for interpretation every year.
The Prophet Vanga was born on October 3, 1911 on a farm located in northern Macedonia. Baba Vanga had a peaceful life in a happy family until she was 3 years old, when World War I broke out, her parents were separated. Since then she has lived a lonely life. When she was 7 years old, her father remarried.
A few years later, they moved to Novo Selo, where Baba Vanga faced a landmark event that changed her life. While hanging out with her brothers, she encountered a terrible whirlwind. This cyclone took Baba Vanga 2km away into the crop fields. The dust of the tornado made her unable to open her eyes.
Her family then conducted many treatments to help her regain her lost sight, but all were unsuccessful. When Baba Vanga turned 18 years old, she returned home and took care of her sisters in her family. And since that time, her eyes have completely lost their sight. However, God gave her the ability to psychic abilities to make unbelievably accurate prophecies.
Baba Vanga once said that she acquired these prophetic abilities through an invisible creature. When someone stands in front of Baba Vanga, she has the ability to see that person from birth to death as if she were watching a movie. She uses that ability to prophesy and the lives of those around her.
Many people from all over flocked to Vanga's prophecy with an iron faith in her power. But there are some people who don't think so and have paid a heavy price. It was none other than Ms. Vanga's relatives.
The first was Vanga's younger brother, Vasil. At the age of 22, Vasil decided to follow the Strumica guerrillas to fight the Germans. When she heard the news, Vanga tried to stop her brother, because she could foresee that Vasil would die on his next birthday. But Vasil didn't believe his sister.
In October of that year, Vasil took on the task of demolishing the bridge where the Germans passed. The mission was successful, but Vasil dropped his ID card into the hands of the enemy soldiers. The Germans went to the villages to search and tie up many people, including Vasil. They threatened to kill everyone if no one identified Vasil.
Eventually, not wanting to get involved with everyone, Vasil surrendered. He was locked up in prison, treated horribly and then died. Vasil was arrested on October 8, 1944 - also his 23rd birthday.
Losing her younger brother, Vanga had only her husband Dimitar as a support. However, fate always teased the famous prophet, even the husband left her.
Dimitar's husband suffers from stomach pain, but refuses to listen to Vanga's doctors or treatments, and turns to alcohol to forget about the pain. Mrs. Vanga has repeatedly advised her husband but to no avail.
Later, Ms. Vanga confided to a cousin that she saw the scene of her husband dying but she could not stop this. Not long after, Mr. Dimitar died of a severe illness. It is worth mentioning here that during the time that Vanga's husband was alive, when King Boris III of Bulgaria visited her family, the blind prophet reminded her husband to remember August 28 and more than a year later, her husband died on that very day.
Before the painful death of her husband, Mrs. Vanga cried all her tears. According to the narration, she fell asleep and found herself seeing off her husband for a section to "where everyone needs to go". However, she argued that death did not exist. She said that after the body decomposes, the soul will remain. The human soul will continue to develop to attain a higher state, called eternity. That seemingly illusory statement still makes many people believe and makes scientists have a headache to learn.
In her 50 years of prophetic practice, Vanga has made hundreds of prophecies and many of them have come true. So far, scientists believe that as many as 80 percent of Vanga's prophecies have come true, and the world is still watching her predictions about her future in the coming years.
