"1. Transfer of adjudication jurisdiction from the Family and Juvenile Court to the Criminal Court -Ho Chi Minh City People's Court to try the defendants under the guidance of Circular No. 02/2018/TT- The TANDTC regulates the jurisdiction to adjudicate criminal cases of the Family and Juvenile Court and Circular No. 01/2017/TT-TANDTC regulates the courtroom.

2. Request for assessment of NTVA (dead) injury rate before December 22, 2021 on the basis of medical records in accordance with the guidance of Circular 22/2019/TT-BYT dated 28/28 August 2019 of the Ministry of Health.

3. Change the crime of Defendant Nguyen Kim Trung Thai from the crime of concealing a crime as prescribed in Article 389 of the Penal Code to the crime of murder specified in Article 123 of the Penal Code.

In addition to publicizing the application, LS Thom also expressed his desire for a public trial on the upcoming July 21, which will take place in a serious manner, with the right people, with the right crimes and in accordance with the law.

According to the lawyer, this trial is not only a place to pronounce the punishment frame for the subjects but also means an apology of the community for not protecting the baby VA.

Previously, on July 21, the trial was held in public, instead of a closed trial according to the previous decision No. 2437/2022/QDXXST-HS dated June 22.

Specifically, defendant Nguyen Kim Trung Thai (37 years old, the girl's father) was prosecuted for "torture others" and "concealed crimes" under Article 389, the maximum penalty frame is 8 years in prison.

And defendant Nguyen Vo Quynh Trang (27 years old, Thai's lover) was prosecuted for "Murder" and "Torturing others" according to Articles 123 and 140 of the Penal Code, the highest total penalty frame is death.
