Huy Hoang at the time weighed 115 kg. She said at that time, she was stressed because of studying for university exams, constantly eating at night, so she gained weight uncontrollably. The contestant was scorned by some friends for his appearance, called by many unpleasant names such as, 'fat buffalo', 'wild boar'... Realizing some health problems, Huy Hoang decided to lose weight after University entrance exam.

"My weight loss process is not a bed of roses. I suffered a lot of physical and mental trauma, but because of the goal of health safety, I had to overcome it. The training sessions did not discourage me, but what made me fall were the words of the people around me. Even when I fasted all day, I still had to hear judgments like 'you can't get sick if you eat like this', even though I was only at that time. I ate vegetables, no starch, I also looked for weight loss pills. However, the side effects of the drug made me constantly have low blood sugar, low work efficiency, mental stagnation. Later, thanks to my family. The positive relationships around me were encouraging, my spirit was more comfortable. I started to eat healthy, exercise healthy,' she shared.

After a year of persistent training, Huy Hoang lost 30 kg. Currently, she weighs 85 kg, is 1.7 m tall, and measures 102-82-106 cm. "Know my BMI is still high-grade obesity but I'm happy I've at least begun to change. I will continue to lose weight. Currently, I aim to lose another 10-20 kg. more, to keep the BMI at a safe level," she confided.

Previously, in episode 4 of MIQ VN, with the advantage of eloquence, Huy Hoang was the contestant who won the test of answering skills. She achieved IELTS 7.5 - the highest English score among candidates at this year's competition.

Huy Hoang said her strong point in the competition is skill preparation. She considers herself capable of conveying messages in English well, has youthful energy and is determined to improve herself. "However, I also have many limitations. As a young person, participating in a beauty contest for the first time in a reality TV format, I cannot avoid moments of psychological pressure leading to lack of restraint. in words and actions.
