Coach Le Thuy Hai is 74 years old this year, he is the coach with the most achievements of Vietnamese football. Since the day he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, coach Le Thuy Hai broke up with Thanh Hoa club to focus on treatment.

When he was young, he played for the Railway Club from about 1965 to 1980. After hanging up his shoes, Mr. Hai researched and studied as a coach.

Coach Le Thuy Hai is known as the sharpest and most personal leader in Vietnam. The talented former midfielder of the Vietnam Railways has experienced many teams. From women's football, the second, the first and the top is leading B.BD to win the V.League consecutively.

In 1995, he started his career as a coach as an assistant at the Railway Club. A year later, he accepted the invitation to lead Quang Ngai and officially entered the glorious coaching career later.

Through many teams, there are enough ups and downs in the military career, but coach Le Thuy Hai is always rated as the most personal and expensive coach in the V.League. Along with his close friend Vuong Tien Dung, he is known as the owner of model contracts in the professional football village. He received a bribe of billions of dong a season and his salary to this day is still a record of 100 million dong/month.

In total, coach Le Thuy Hai led more than 10 clubs, including big names such as Hanoi ACB, SHB Da Nang, The Cong. However, the most successful period of this coach is associated with Becamex Binh Duong.

He helped Da Nang to win the runner-up title in 2005. The highest peak in the coaching career of coach Le Thuy Hai was helping the Thu land team win three championships V-League 2007, V-League 2008, V-League 2014.

In 2016, coach Le Thuy Hai arrived at FLC Thanh Hoa when he was 70 years old. However, he had to quit this job because of pancreatic cancer. In recent years, the image of coach Le Thuy Hai has almost disappeared in the media. Instead, he was only known for his shocking statements and remarks through the press.

In the middle of last year, former midfielder Nguyen Manh Dung made fans sad when he posted a picture of coach Le Thuy Hai on a hospital bed. After that, a lot of information said that the health of the coach from Ha Dong has made a lot of progress. Most recently, BHL and Binh Duong club players visited coach Le Thuy Hai at his home when he went to Hanoi to play the 3rd round of V-League 2021 in mid-March.

He had to fight cancer but never once lost his faith and love of life. There was even a time when it seemed that he had won when his health improved. Recently, realizing that his health was declining, he moved to Hanoi to live for convenient treatment.

At 11:08 a.m. this afternoon, May 7, the famous military leader breathed his last in the arms of family and friends.
