Recently, the high school graduation exam took place nationwide, many candidates entered an important milestone in their lives. In addition, a female student in Gia Lai had an accident before the exam day, forcing her to go to the exam location by ambulance, still leaving her dream unfulfilled.
Early in the morning of June 26, the atmosphere at the high school graduation exam site in Nghia Hoa commune, Chu Pah district, Gia Lai province suddenly became solemn with the special appearance of candidate PHCA (born in 2007). She did not walk on her own feet but went to school by ambulance, carrying an unhealed wound but her unwavering will was not shaken. That moment touched the hearts of many people, opening up the story of a resilient female student.
PHCAâs wish is to study at the Faculty of Physical Education, Da Nang University â a dream that requires good health and physical strength. However, the serious injury from the unexpected accident has caused her great difficulty, even risking having to abandon her physical dream when she cannot take the aptitude test.
Previously, on June 25, just one day before the 2025 high school graduation exam officially began, a serious traffic accident occurred. While on the way home, the motorbike he was driving hit a pothole, causing him to fall and suffer a serious injury to the right ankle, causing a fracture, dislocation, and rupture of the extensor tendon.
When admitted to the emergency room at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital - Hoang Anh Gia Lai, doctors assessed this as a complex injury, with the risk of seriously affecting the motor function of the legs if not treated promptly. This means that, if delayed, the female student could lose the ability to walk normally, and her dream of pursuing a career in Physical Education would be dashed.
Faced with this emergency situation, a surgical team was quickly mobilized. With a high sense of responsibility and humanity, the doctors performed surgery to remove, fuse bones, fix joints and connect tendons for the victim. The surgery lasted more than 1 hour in a tense atmosphere because the doctors not only wanted to treat the wound well but also set a higher goal: how to help CA be able to participate in the 2025 high school graduation exam in time - an important milestone in a student's life.
After a difficult surgery, by the evening of June 25, CA's health had stabilized, bringing great hope to the medical team and his family. The doctor assessed that he could take the graduation exam the following morning.
To support this special candidate to take the exam, the hospital representative made a detailed plan, showing their dedication and deep concern. Doctors prepared medicine and changed bandages from 5am, ensuring that by 6am she could leave the hospital to get to the exam site in time. The image of the ambulance carrying the police to the school early in the morning of June 26 was not only a means of transportation but also a symbol of the extraordinary determination of the female student and the noble hearts of those wearing white coats.
PHCA successfully entered the Literature exam room, completing the first challenging exam. This was a victory of will and timely medical support. However, this joy also came with a great regret. With an injury to the right ankle, participating in the Physical Education Faculty's aptitude exam was almost impossible. His dream of "soaking in sweat on the field" or "striding on the arena" was facing a great challenge, possibly having to be put on hold or changed completely.
PHCA's story is not only a testament to the extraordinary resilience of young people in the face of adversity, but also a profound tribute to the medical team. They are not only the ones who treat patients but also the "angels in white" who have helped a small dream continue. Although the journey ahead of CA is full of challenges, especially with his physical dream, his resilience and warm humanity have spread a strong message of hope and compassion.
