The TV series "Di Giua Troi Ruc Roc" unexpectedly created an unprecedented fever in Vietnamese cinema. Although it did not have any famous actors, the film still surpassed all competitors, worthy of being a prime-time blockbuster.
Although only released more than 10 episodes out of a total of 110, Di Giua Troi Ruc Ro has achieved many great achievements thanks to the word-of-mouth effect from the audience. Despite some unnecessary controversies surrounding cultural issues, the details in the film, especially the main couple Chai (Long Vu) - Pu (Thu Ha Ceri) are still becoming a topic that is enthusiastically sought after by the audience. The lovely scenes and dialogues of the young couple in the film have become hot trends on social networks, something that not many films this year have been able to do. Even on social networks, the audience has spread a joke that "Strive for each house to have a Chai" because of the popularity of this character.
Up to now, after more than 10 episodes aired, the film's rating has recorded a figure of more than 4%, higher than all the TV series currently airing in prime time on VTV channels such as Sao Kim Ban Tim Sao Hoa, Vui Len Nay Anh Em Oi,... This figure is also higher than the previous film aired in the same time slot on VTV3, Minh Yeu Nhau Binh Yen Thoi (average of about 3.5%). This is a good sign for the station when the 8pm slot is still quite new and has not really found its own audience.
In addition to high ratings, the film also received a huge amount of interaction on social networking platforms. As of episode 8 alone, the total number of views of the film on online platforms has reached 1 billion views. All episodes posted on the producer's YouTube channel recorded over 2 million views and the number of views is constantly increasing. Episode 11 alone recorded 2.7 million views after exactly 19 hours of posting. On the TikTok platform, the hashtag #digiuatroirucro has currently recorded 24.9 thousand posts with a series of clips recording millions of views.
Currently, after nearly half a month of release, Di Giua Troi Ruc Ro also climbed to the top 1 hottest movie keyword on Vietnamese social networks. According to statistics from YouNet Media, with 179.07 thousand discussions corresponding to 5.56 million interactions in just 1 week, Di Giua Troi Ruc Ro is currently far ahead of the top 2 on the social trend chart, Bluelock, with 22.45 thousand discussions.
Going in the Bright Sky is a film about the love story between Pu (a beautiful, intelligent Dao girl with a dream of pursuing a career in medicine) and Chai (the son of the richest family in the village). Pu wants to go to the city to study at university, but due to difficult circumstances, her father forces her to get married and have children.
Her father owed Chai's family a huge amount of money, so he signed a contract to sell Pu to a wealthy family. The film is about Pu's journey of having to face her own ambitions at the same time as the harsh reality of life.
As a rare person in the village who passed the university entrance exam, instead of receiving congratulations, the young girl had to face harsh, conservative looks from her neighbors, even her own father.
Unlike the free and liberal life in the modern city, where Pu lives, a photo taken with someone of the opposite sex is considered adultery, those who want to pursue knowledge are criticized for having unrealistic ambitions, girls with strong personalities and their own stance like Pu are judged as insolent, and education costs money.
Although the film's name is "Walking in the Bright Sky", perhaps the two children Chai and Pu will have to overcome the dark, ambiguous reality to protect their love, and more importantly, their own ambitions and dreams.
It can be said that Di Giua Troi Ruc Rot has many novelties compared to other films broadcast on VTV. The film sets the story in the highlands - a place with cool green nature, majestic mountains and forests, showing off both wild and peaceful beauty.
There, we see the innocent and simple life of Dao boys and girls. They grow up with nature, the land and sky, but also have their own customs and habits, different from children living in modern big cities.
However, in the recently aired episodes, Di Giua Troi Ruc Rot still has exaggerated details, sometimes somewhat illogical when considered in the context of the lives of ethnic people in the highlands.
