Once Upon a Time Love Story cools down after 3 weeks in theaters, drops to top 1 at the box office

Entering its third week of release, the movie "Once Upon a Time There Was a Love Story" has shown signs of cooling down. From the top 1 spot at the Vietnamese box office, the movie has dropped to the top 4 at the box office. According to statistics from Box Office Vietnam, the movie "Once Upon a Time There Was a Love Story" has currently earned 40 billion VND in revenue.

On November 13, the producer released a number of deleted scenes from the official version of the film, giving the audience new and deeper perspectives on the film. Previously, to ensure the most suitable theatrical release time for the film, director Trinh Dinh Le Minh and the producer agreed to cut up to 10 scenes.

The most prominent scene is the emotional scene when Ms. Lua (Rima Thanh Vy) decides to leave because her father - uncle Sau Thoi (Mai The Hiep) forbids her from loving Mr. Duong (Le Cong Hoang); the scene where Vinh (Pham Thanh Tu) and Phuc (Hao Khang) burn the cornfield and swim across the river in fear at the ag.e of 12; the scene where Huong (Nguyen Sy Hau) - Mien's brother decides to reconcile with Vinh ( Avin Lu) before his sister's wedding.

At the same time, the crew of "Once Upon a Time There Was a Love Story" also revealed the behind-the-scenes of one of the most difficult scenes that actress Ngoc Xuan took on. Ngoc Xuan really got into the scene of giving birth to bab.y Su, putting herself in the position of a mother who had to cross the threshold of "deat.h" without Phuc - the bab.y's father by her side.

During filming, the actress cried and it took a long time to hold back her tears after filming. Ngoc Xuan talked about this special scene: "A lot of emotions were intertwined at the time of filming. I thought of my mother, I thought of Mien, why she was here without her three children by her side. I thought of Phuc, thought of Su and thought of myself many years later. Mien's situation, both bitter and sacred, on the border of life and deat.h, at that moment really moved Xuan."

Along with the interesting content about the film continuously posted on social networks, the crew of Once Upon a Time There Was a Love Story also participated in a series of direct interaction activities with the audience. Within 2 weeks, director Trinh Dinh Le Minh, producer Nhi Bui, screenwriter Do Hoa Tra and the cast brought fascinating stories about Once Upon a Time There Was a Love Story and shared many useful knowledge about filmmaking and acting through 9 universities and high schools.

At the 7th Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF VII), actress Ngoc Xuan also received the Promising Young Actor award, for her role as Mien in the film. This is also the only feature film from Vietnam to compete in this category with other international films. On stage to receive the award, Ngoc Xuan could not hide her happiness. She thanked the organizers, "thank you director Trinh Dinh Le Minh for letting me be Mien".

At the same time, the actor did not forget to thank the two actors Avin Lu and Do Nhat Hoang - his two first on-screen movie friends. "As a new actor, this achievement has great meaning and encouragement for me on the path to conquering my dream," Ngoc Xuan said.

Sharing with the media, Ms. Mien in "Once Upon a Time There Was a Love Story" said that HANIFF is a festival for the film industry. As a young actress, she came here with the desire to interact and learn from her seniors.

"I don't put too much emphasis on any lofty awards; and actually, my film and role reaching the public is the greatest happiness," Ngoc Xuan confided.

The film Once Upon a Time There Was a Love Story received four nominations: Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director and Best Feature Film.
