The gir.l who became famous after winnin.g the Guinness World Record - the hairiest person. This gir.l has a rare Werewolf Syndrome, so she has had leprosy since birth, even to an abnormal extent.
In 2010, Supatra 'Natty' Sausuphan (born 1999, living in Bangkok, Thailand) was awarded the title of "the hairiest gir.l in the world" by the Guinness Book of Records. Hair grows thickly all over Supatra's face, ears, legs, and back. Famous for her reluctance, her family then often received invitations to interview and participate in TV shows.
Although her body is different from everyone, that doesn't hinder Supatra 'Natty' Sausuphan's relationships. In 2018, she attracted attention when she posted a picture with her husband on social networks, saying that she found happiness with a tolerant man and added: "You are not only the first love, but you are also the love of my life."
Also from here, Supatra decided to shave off the hair on her face to facilitate daily activities or confidently appear next to her "other half". In 2024, she broke up with her husband without revealing the reason. After that, she often posts romantic pictures with her new lover (24, from Thailand). The two spend a lot of time together and do not hesitate to travel together, go to the park or participate in social events.
Supatra 'Natty' Sausuphan said she now regularly removes her hair to make it easier to integrate into the community. She applied manual shaving because the laser hair removal method did not work for her particular disease.
In early April, Supatra posted a love photo with the caption: "Happy 7-month anniversary together" with a red heart emoji. She revealed that when she was with him, she felt extremely free, every moment was like a new beginning. She also thinks that it's never too late to start over.
Sasuphan still maintains a positive and optimistic image. After graduating from Tangtrongchit Commercial University in Bangkok, she did not share much about her work, but only confided: "Sometimes the hair grows out which makes me uncomfortable, but I hope that one day I will be completely cured of this rare disease." Mr. Samrerng once expressed that the family still hopes that one day their daughter will be cured: "We will do whatever we can to make that happen."
On August 5, 1999, Supatra 'Natty' Sausuphan (commonly known as Nat) was born to the joy and horror of her parents when she had long hair that covered almost her entire body. Sasuphan was diagnosed with Ambras disease, also known as "Werewolf Syndrome", which causes excessive growth of body hair, except for the palms, soles of the feet, and mucous membranes.
Her condition at that time also confused Thai doctors, because in the world only 50 similar cases have been recorded since the Middle Ages. In addition to his unusually long hair, Sasuphan could not breathe because his nostrils were only 1 mm wide, and he had to undergo 2 surgeries.
After being discharged from the hospital at the ag.e of 10 months, throughout the first years of her life, the Thai gir.l often faced curious and apprehensive eyes from those around her. Mr. Samrerng - Sasuphan's father - shared that except for his teeth growing a little slowly and his vision was obstructed because of the long thunderstorm, his daughter was still healthy and lively like many children her ag.e.
While in school, Supatra was often bullied and nicknamed "Werewolf" at school. Many discriminatory students often come to harass and tease them. However, her family, school and most of her friends always support and protect her. "I don't feel like I'm different from anyone. A lot of my friends at school love me. Having a lot of hair makes me more special," Supatra shared.
Over time, Supatra's family and herself gradually accepted this different appearance. She is not afraid to post photos with her hairy face on social networks. Supatra feels lucky to be raised by her family like every normal chil.d, not letting herself be inferior to anyone. She also tries not to look at flaws but turn them into strength, spreading optimism.
