The concave-faced girl of 17 years lived in "darkness", now like a miss after 4 major surgeries

Ninh Thi Thu Huong (23 years old, from Ninh Binh) can no longer remember how cute her face was when she was younger. Since becoming aware, she has been nicknamed "concave-faced". When Huong was 3, she developed a tumor under her ear. The hospital diagnoses melanoma, the chances of success after surgery are very low. Afraid of losing her son, Huong's mother did not allow surgery but took him back to her hometown, looking for a healer to treat him with folk medicines.

Throughout her childhood until adulthood, Thu Huong lived with the curious gaze, pointing and gossip of people. Not only adults detracted, even the children when they met her teased, calling her "Huong Huong".

"I still remember, once I was searched by my friend and then called me "Huong" with disparagement and ridicule. I'm sad and scared, but I still try to look unbothered because only by doing so will people be less teasing. Despite this, I am still psychologically obsessed, inferior, inferior, guilty, withdrawn. I am very afraid of interacting with others," Huong said.

After finishing high school, Huong went to work as a laborer. Entering the larger environment, Huong felt more and more his inferiority and inferiority complex. She lives in confusion, does not dare to look directly into the camera, has never dared to publicize the image of her face on social networks.

Mother Huong understands her daughter's sorrow, and blames herself for not helping her get treatment in time, causing her to live with the sorrowful sequelae of childhood disease.

For relief, Huong participates in fruit work at a temple. She also uses social media to chat and get to know one person or another, although the avatar never dares to show her face.

But that was enough for Hoang Minh Duc (a soldier from a commando brigade stationed in Hai Phong) to pay attention to Huong. Duc also found it strange that online, Huong did not show off his "virtual life" photos like other girls, always covering his mask or hiding his face.

But through the way of chatting every day, when Huong texted to ask about her health, when she was curious about training and performing tasks, Duc felt fond of this girl. Huong also paid more attention to him than other friends she met online. But when Duc returned and offered to meet face-to-face, Huong was extremely hesitant.

When Duc confessed, wanting to establish a love relationship, Huong thought he was teasing her.

Many times, Duc affirmed that he did not matter his appearance, complimented Huong's cute personality, Huong just burst into happiness. It was then that she truly believed that she was lovable and worthy of love.

Huong always dreams of one day taking photos with her beloved without hiding part of her face. That's why she was determined to enroll in the "Change Life" program of a famous beauty clinic.

When receiving a free plastic surgery ticket from the hospital, Thu Huong was extremely happy. The desire to "fill" her face made her dismiss all worries and fears.

Huong underwent 4 surgeries including: fat mesoderm graft, face fat transplant, upper jaw bone graft, chin slide, jaw removal to fill the concave and misaligned face area. The surgeries lasted 10 hours.

"The post-operative period was quite painful, eating was also difficult, but thinking about my parents, brother, brother Duc and others who always cared and watched me was motivating. Moreover, thinking that I am going to have a full face like other girls, I forget all the pain", Thu Huong shared.

After 6 months of resuscitation, Thu Huong returned with a completely different appearance. Huong said, she was indeed reborn.

"I never thought in my dreams that one day I would be so beautiful. The day I returned, I met my first grandmother but she didn't recognize me. It wasn't until I cried out to her that she was stunned, hugging her granddaughter. My parents and everyone else were surprised, no one believed they could change so dramatically. My mother cried a lot but now she cries with happiness. She said: "My dream has come true, now I can live with peace of mind," Huong said.
