Recently, a dog from the Mexican rescue team also did not survive due to a serious incident while on duty. Before that loss, people around the world expressed their condolences for the brave dog.
PVDN posted, this brave dog named Proteo, one of fourteen rescue dogs sent by the Mexican army to Turkey to assist in the rescue work. At the time of the incident, Proteo was with his teammates searching for earthquake victims. During the rescue of the trapped person, the dog was crushed by a pile of rubble. Those who were with them were lucky to escape, but they lost Proteo forever.
In the midst of Türkiye's mourning scene, a solemn funeral for Proteo was held. All the Mexican rescuers and the dog's friends were present. Everyone mourns the loss of this brave dog.
Also according to the Mexican Ministry of Defense, the Proteo is a German Shepherd dog. At the time of his departure, this dog was only 7 years old, working in the first brigade of the Military Police. Proteo's trainer and companion is Villeda. After the heartbreaking passing of the dog, he thanked his teammate.
The soldier said: "I want to tell you that I am proud of you, because you have always been a strong dog, a hard-working dog and never give up. Now I just want to thank you for being there. come here." Rescue teams from the Department of Defense, the Secretary of the Navy (SEMAR) and the Mexican Red Cross have not stopped paying their respects to Proteo. In the face of the loss of the Turkish people, the Vietnamese rescue team is also working hard every day to save lives as well as search for the unfortunate dead. When the Vietnamese delegation arrived, the local people were extremely emotional and clapped to welcome the delegation.
Recently, Turkey's national news agency Anadolu emphasized that thanks to Vietnamese and Pakistani rescue forces, a teenager was saved after being trapped for 138 hours under the rubble. Specifically, on February 12, Vietnamese Ambassador to Turkey Do Son Hai said that the rescue team of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam is being facilitated by the government of Adiyaman city. On the first day of participating in the rescue, the Vietnamese team coordinated with the Pakistani team to save a teenager who had been trapped for 138 hours under the rubble.
Colonel Nguyen Minh Khuong, head of the delegation of the Ministry of Public Security, shared that local people were very touched by the international help in general and Vietnam in particular. When meeting the members of the delegation, the local people put their right hand on their left chest to show their gratitude and appreciation for the rescue forces of Vietnam.
On February 13, the international rescue team of the Ministry of Public Security coordinated to remove four unfortunate victims from the rubble in Adiyaman City, Turkey. On February 14, the rescue team of the Ministry of Public Security continued to receive search work at another location under the coordination of the Turkish Emergency and Disaster Response Agency (AFAD).
