Manh and Dung got married in 2014. From cramped rooms, thanks to hard work, their family bought land, built a spacious house and bought cars. The two have a lovely daughter together. It was thought that the small family life would forever be so connected, but suddenly a turning point occurred after the last trip in July 2020.

"After returning from a vacation in Nghi Son with his family, Mr. Meng suffered from severe back pain. At first my husband only thought muscle pain was caused by playing sports. Going to the doctor, the doctor suspected he had kidney stones and gave him medication but the pain did not subside. He was later diagnosed with lung cancer that had spread to the bones, in its final stages. It happened very quickly," the tearful wife said.

He still works while undergoing treatment. Spouses take advantage of hanging out together, taking and saving videos so that their daughter can have many memories. But Meng's health deteriorated very quickly. When he can only lie in a hospital bed, the husband regrets being too engrossed in work, busy with many other relationships, and missing happy moments with his wife and children.

He told her to focus on work, not to take care of her husband and leave completely, when she came back, it would be difficult. Ms. Dung obeyed, switching from working office hours to flexible time jobs so that she could still be with him and stabilize her income.

Even in his hospital bed, he advised his wife to occasionally let the children go out to play and eat so as not to disturb their lives even if their father was sick. He reminded his wife if he died, to grieve only a little, then live happily, happily, love himself and find new happiness.

At the end of May 2022, he left still clutching his wife's hand.

On 20/10 of the same year, still not relieved of her husband's nostalgia, Ms. Dung saw her husband's friend bring a bouquet of flowers with the wish "Gifts sent by Mrs. Meng", at this time the wife broke down.
