In 1986, he left the provincial delegation to Ho Chi Minh City to sing on many stages such as: Huong Thu, Huynh Long, Sai Gon 1. This is the period when his talent shines.

In 1998, Meritorious Artist Chieu Hung joined the Kim Huong reform group (elected Minh Long), paired with Meritorious Artist Tu Suong. The two are famous through the play "Frazy and love". In 1999, he joined the reformed troupe Tran Huu Trang 2 to perform with artist Ngan Hue, and was loved through the plays: "Washing the dust of life", "God's gift"... The late Meritorious Artist Vu Linh said Meritorious Artist Chieu Hung also tried to be a vocal troupe "Huong Buoi", operating for a year. Initially, it was successful with very good revenue, but later, due to difficulties in personnel, script and rainy weather, the troupe disbanded and suffered from debt.

In 2003, Chieu Hung had a great accident in his family. His daughter, Huynh Mai, was 11 years old at the time, suffering from heart valve disease. Artist brothers and sisters and the audience supported him with money, but then he did not survive.

During more than 30 years of working as an actor, Meritorious Artist Chieu Hung has worked with more than 10 major vocal troupes, appeared in over 100 stage plays and video and television cai luong plays. He won many gold medals through national festivals and performances.

In 2000, he was invited to work at the Dong Nai Cai Luong Doan (now the Dong Nai Traditional Art Theater). Here, he achieved many successes. In particular, in the National Professional Theater Competition 2015 in Bac Lieu, he won a gold medal in the play "Late Lights".

It is known that after Chieu Hung's death, his son Luong Vi followed in his career to become a singer and singer-songwriter.

He said that when he heard that his senior had passed away, the male singer and his mother came to offer condolences to the family of late Meritorious Artist Vu Linh on behalf of the family.
