In 2023, sharing about his health situation, Dien Tu Lang said that he had many underlying diseases, had experienced the "deat.h of his life", and had to be hospitalized for a long time because of a stroke during Tet in 2022. "I just finished singing, and when I went downstairs, I felt so dizzy. I sat down in my chair and saw that your face was dark. So I asked the "disciple" to take me to the hospital. After the violent illness, he appreciated his health and emotions even more when he was still singing. Recently, director Khuong Dua visited the house of the "King of Radio Songs" once. The male artist said that despite his ag.e, he still had to earn a living by singing for bars. "I just had a goiter surgery before Tet, so I lost 6kg, and now I can't get it back. I used to be 67kg, now I have 61kg. My health is normal, I just went back to work. I go to sing every night at the artist's shop.

I have been doing this profession for more than ten years, since I retired from the troupe. That restaurant is in District 5, it is a bar where everyone drinks and sings to each other. I sing every night, and when I'm too tired, I take a break. It was the shop of a small chil.d from the same hometown. I used to have a lot of mone.y, but now I only go there to sing. My name is still there, so the visitor still asks. Every day when I'm healthy, I come to sing and sing a few songs," he said.

When asked why he didn't let his children take care of him, the artist shared that his children are far away and he doesn't need help from his children because he still can't work on his own. He said that although life is difficult, it can be maintained temporarily.
