An elderly couple in Iran have suffered bitter results beyond their imagination because of a bizarre act that allegedly adversely affects moral values in the Iranian country, leading to the involvement of those involved in this incident.

This story caused loud and fierce controversy in Iran. An elderly couple decides to sell their apartment to their pet dog named Chester because they have no children, no heirs. To prove they are serious about this, the couple hires a whole real estate company to handle the transaction.

According to local media, the story started to stir when a video of the couple selling their house to their pet dog went viral on many popular forums and websites. In the clip, the two sign a contract to sell the house, then let the white dog imprint its footprints on the space reserved for the buyer's signature, as if the two parties have signed the transaction.

According to the video, the couple decided to sell their house to their pet dog Chester because they had no other children or heirs.

The scene of this strange transaction caused a lot of controversy on social media, and it even attracted the attention of the Iranian government. On August 19, Iranian police were ordered to shut down the real estate brokerage responsible for carrying out the transaction. The man in charge of the company also paid for his actions when he was taken away just a day later, and the couple who sold their dog house were in the same situation.

Reza Tabar, deputy head of Iran's prosecutor's office, explained that the government was aggressive in the case because the deal to sell the house lacked both a legal basis and a violation of "normalizing acts that adversely affect the moral values of society."

In recent years, many middle- and upper-class Iranian families have tended to keep dogs as family members, but the Iranian government has been steadfast in upholding Islamic law that dogs are inferior animals. The breeding and pampering of pet dogs is considered a form of promoting the Western way of life, moral degradation.

From the perspective of classification of organisms,humans belong to the class of mammals, the order of primates. Dogs belong to the same class of mammals as humans, to the carnivorous order (like cats), but to the canine family (like foxes).

Considering that dogs are only in the same mammal class, not in the same order, and certainly not in the same family, dogs are no closer to humans than pigs, cows or sheep, from the perspective of animal classification. Although they are closer to humans and more evolved than animals, they were raised by humans to meet the needs of exploitation for food, utensils, or as traction, or as pet animals.

In fact, all dogs, whether tall or short, if raised by humans, are "equal" to each other in serving human purposes, whether in the East or the West, which is said to be because of the cultural character in these places.

But for dogs in many Muslim countries, eating dog meat or doing things that supposedly put dogs on par with humans is considered disgusting and forbidden. Islam turns the dog into the image of all that is the most vile evil in the world.
