The upcoming concert, scheduled for August 15, promises to be one of the most anticipated highlights of BLACKPINK's 2025 world tour.
According to an announcement from YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK's 2025 tour will go through 10 major cities, of which Wembley will be a historic milestone when the four girls become the first Kpop group to perform here since BTS's legendary performance in 2019.
Setting foot on Wembley is not only a milestone in BLACKPINK's career but also affirms the international position of the Kpop wave. The group will join the list of rare Asian artists to conquer this legendary stage, standing shoulder to shoulder with the biggest names in music history.
The tour will kick off in Korea with two impressive opening shows at Goyang Stadium (Seoul) on July 5-6. From there, BLACKPINK will continue to rock other prestigious stadiums such as SoFi Stadium (Los Angeles), Soldier Field (Chicago), Rogers Centre (Toronto) and Citi Field (New York).
The European leg will visit Paris, Milan, Barcelona and especially Wembley (London). Then, the Asian leg will end with an emotional night at the Tokyo Dome in January 2026.
In an official statement, YG Entertainment emphasized that this tour is a large-scale investment, promising to bring top-notch performances, comparable to the resounding success of the previous BORN PINK tour - an event that attracted 1.8 million spectators in 34 cities.
Many viewers are wondering why YG has just announced 10 locations for the tour. According to many predictions, Blackpink could be the first Asian girl group in history to organize a stadium tour.
Live Nation also revealed: "Blackpink's 2025 world tour will be in stadiums." So it is possible that YG is negotiating with other qualified venues to achieve this goal.
BLACKPINK is not just a group but also a cultural icon with a profound influence, contributing to spreading the power of the Hallyu wave to the world. Wembley Stadium, with a capacity of over 90,000 spectators, has witnessed music legends such as Queen, Michael Jackson, Beyoncé and Adele. BLACKPINK's performance here further solidifies the group's position in the international music market.
K-pop has traditionally been a regional phenomenon in Asia, but with their concerts at Wembley, BLACKPINK and BTS are proving that they can compete with major genres like pop, rock and hip-hop. The Wembley stage is not only a destination for BLACKPINK, but also a symbol of glory, marking the world's recognition of K-pop.
Perhaps, after 2 years, the scale of Blackpink's concerts has been expanded dramatically. During the 2022-2023 Born Pink tour, in Korea, Blackpink held shows at 2 dome stadiums, KSPO Dome and Gocheok Sky Dome, attracting about 10,000 to nearly 18,000 spectators each night.
But this year, the group's concert will be held at the main stadium of the Goyang Sports Complex in Gyeonggi Province. Blackpink is the first K-pop girl group to perform at Goyang Stadium, which is emerging as a new "concert mecca" in Korea. It is rare for girl groups to hold concerts at stadiums with over 40,000 seats in Korea.
However, many audiences were surprised by the small number of shows on this tour. In particular, Southeast Asian countries with large and enthusiastic Kpop fans such as Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines were not included in the schedule.
Currently, Blackpink's 2025 tour does not have an official name. Netizens speculate that Blackpink will release new music before July, after which the tour name will be based on the group's new song or album name.
