Binh Duong: Another fire at a foam factory, 2000m2 near a gas station, many people fled

Just 2 days after the fire at the foam factory near Cay Trom intersection, today another fire broke out at the foam factory in Thanh Phuoc ward, causing many people to panic and run away.

Accordingly, on the afternoon of August 24, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Binh Duong Provincial Police extinguished a fire that broke out at a rented factory in Thanh Phuoc Ward, Tan Uyen City, Binh Duong Province.

Initial information, at around 11:00 am the same day, the Fire Prevention and F.ighting Police Team of Tan Uyen City Police, Binh Duong Province received a report of a fire at a 2,000m2 rented factory in Tan Luong Quarter. The functional forces quickly arrived at the scene with the fire truck of Thanh Phuoc Ward Police to control the fire.

At the scene, because the factory contained a lot of foam and flammable materials, the fire quickly spread and created a thick column of black smoke. Notably, the fire occurred near the gas station and market, causing people nearby to panic and run away.

The authorities worked together to both extinguish the fire and move the property inside, quickly controlling and preventing the fire from spreading. After about 1 hour of effort, the fire was completely extinguished. The fire caused part of the factory to collapse, and many materials inside were burned.

Authorities and residents were able to save billions of dong worth of property from the fire. The fire did not cause any casualties. It is known that the factory has been suspended since May 24 according to the decision of Tan Uyen City Police. Authorities are currently investigating and clarifying the cause of the fire.

About 2 days ago (August 22), a foam factory on Highway 13 (near Cay Trom intersection, Chanh My ward, Thu Dau Mot city) also caught fire. According to some residents, as soon as the fire started, many people came to help put out the fire but were unsuccessful, so they reported it to the authorities for support.

Upon receiving the news, the authorities of Binh Duong province and Thu Dau Mot city immediately dispatched many specialized vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire.

At the scene, the fire was burning with a column of smoke hundreds of meters high. Many people ran away in panic. It was raining heavily in the area where the fire broke out, right at rush hour. Initial statistics show that the fire did not cause any human casualties, but many properties were burned down. The cause of the fire is being investigated by authorities.

Also on this day, a scrap yard located on Binh Duong Avenue in Chanh My Ward (Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong) suddenly caught fire. Right before the fire broke out, people heard a loud thunderclap, then the entire electrical system at the scrap yard caught fire.

Lightning also damaged the power grid and traffic lights on Highway 13 in Chanh My and Hiep Thanh wards, causing traffic congestion on the highway.

Binh Duong Fire Police mobilized dozens of fire trucks to the scene to coordinate with Thu Dau Mot City authorities to put out the fire, control it, and prevent it from spreading to neighboring houses. By 4:50 p.m. the same day, the fire was under control, with no casualties.

More than a month ago (July 3), also in Binh Duong, a fire broke out at Duc Hoa Company - specializing in manufacturing wooden products and furniture located in Nam Tan Uyen Industrial Park (Tan Uyen City), causing many workers to panic.

Due to the large area and the intensity of the fire, it was difficult for the authorities to control the fire. The fire quickly spread to many neighboring companies and factories. The incident did not cause any casualties, but all property was burned down.
