Bao Vy: Bao Liem considers his second wife a treasure, every time he gets angry he writes a letter that is 6 pages long.

Bao Liem was a famous comedian in the 80s, and together with Van Son, he brought laughter to a large audience. At that time, they formed a duet theater group, which became a phenomenon overseas and then developed into a beloved brand.

Not only did they get along well on stage, the couple also shared hardships in America, splitting the rent for their apartment and working hard together until each had their own place in the profession.

It's just a pity that while Van Son is still diligently performing, Bao Liem occasionally misses his job and appears on stage. Not to mention, the comedian's current appearance makes many fans unrecognizable, although he still retains some of his youthful charm.

Before creating a "brand" with Van Son, Bao Liem started his career as a dancer, then turned to comedy when he founded the comedy group Map Em. After a p.eriod of working, he moved to the US to settle down in 1990, starting over as a wedding MC. From there, he met and rediscovered his passion for comedy when he met Van Son. The two considered this relationship as fate and quickly became famous together. Although they had been friends before in Vietnam, the reunion in a foreign land brought both of them great success and made a resounding mark in their careers.

After more than a decade together, Bao Liem's sudden departure from Van Son's center in 2008 sparked rumors that the couple was in discord and had gone their separate ways. In response to many rumors that the breakup was due to m.oney, Van Son once spoke up to clarify: "Bao Liem and I no longer perform together not because of m.oney. Over time, everything changes, nothing lasts forever. Later, I returned to Vietnam to open a stage, so I didn't have time for the role of an actor."

In 2021, Bao Liem attracted attention with a photo of him reuniting with old friends and the caption: "After more than a year of staying home to fight the pandemic, today the two of us finally got to fly to shows together... Wishing everyone peace." This image seemed to implicitly dispel rumors of discord between them for many years.

Currently, Bao Liem is over 60 years old and has a happy life with his wife and children in the West. He once confided that his second marriage with his wife Bao Vy was a blessing because in the past, Bao Liem had "missed a boat" and had children. In return, his current wife always silently stood behind her husband's success, fostering happiness and loving the children so that her husband could confidently pursue his career.

When Bao Liem separated from Van Son, his wife Bao Vy was his companion, "fighting" with him on many comedy stages, taking care of his every meal and sleep. Therefore, later, Bao Liem became famous for pampering and respecting his wife like a "treasure".

After many ups and downs together, Bao Liem and Bao Vy are still in love. On his personal page, the male comedian often posts photos of his wife and children traveling or partying with friends in the West. Many moments show that the comedian's wife is increasingly youthful, stylish and always comfortable showing affection for her husband when standing in the same frame.

As for Bao Vy, recently, she appeared as a guest on the show Nha co khach, hosted by Thuy Nga.

On this week's show, Bao Vy shared about her married life with a husband who is decades older than her.

She said: "I have lived with Mr. Bao Liem for 17 years now, no one has lived with him for that long.

When I met Mr. Liem, people criticized and criticized me a lot. Everyone thought that I was calculating and plotting to marry him so that I could go to America and become famous. If people hate me, they will hate everything I do.

For a while, I deleted my Facebook because every time I posted something, it was taken back and published in newspapers and people cursed me. I had to change my Facebook name to my home name, My Tran, and didn't dare use the name Bao Vi.

After a while, a senior met me and said: "Your name is Bao Vy, but if your Facebook is My Tran, no one will find you." I heard that so I changed my name back to Bao Vi, let them hate me, whoever hates me can hate me. Then everything passed, no one said anything to me anymore."

Sharing more about her relationship with her husband, Bao Vy said she always has to put up with her husband.

"I always have to put up with my husband because I can't talk back to him. When my husband speaks, I can't argue back. Even if I'm right, it becomes wrong because I lose the argument.

That’s why every time something happens, I choose to write a handwritten letter to my husband. Only when I write a letter can I express my thoughts without fear of being interrupted by my husband. And when I write the letter, I can read it again and correct any sentence that offends him.

Once I wrote a 6-page letter to my husband. At that time, I needed to write a letter to solve all the problems in the house. After reading it, my husband asked me why I had to write a letter instead of telling him what was going on.

I wrote to my husband many times, once I cried and wrote the letter, another time I saw my husband leave me at home and go away so I wrote a letter too. My husband and I only went to shows together, but he went out with his friends and didn't let me go with him. I had to stay home alone to take care of the children, I felt sad, I felt like a single mother. After I wrote the letter, my husband stayed home and didn't go out alone anymore.

My mother is two years younger than my husband, so the two of them often talk to each other like two friends.
