In order to make a living and have money to support her children, Ms. Na had to pack her bags and move to Ho Chi Minh City to work as a worker at a garment company. Vien also followed Ho Chi Minh City for a while but was unemployed because of Covid-19 so he returned to his hometown to go fishing.

According to the provisions of the law, Vien's act has all the elements to constitute the crime of Murder as prescribed in Clause 1, Article 123 of the Penal Code 2015 (amended and supplemented in 2017), with an increased frame rate. "Murder under 16 years of age" is punishable by imprisonment from 12 to 20 years, life imprisonment or capital punishment.

Lawyer Nguyen Cong Tin said that, even if he used alcohol, beer or other stimulants, Vien still had to take full responsibility for his cruel behavior, because Article 13 of the 2015 Penal Code (amended, supplemented in 2017) clearly stipulates: "The offender in a state of loss of awareness or ability to control his or her behavior due to the use of alcohol, beer or other strong stimulants, shall still have to bear criminal responsibility. "Vien's criminal motives are too petty, despicable, just from conflicts and jealousy with his wife, Vien is ready to kill his own child who is only a toddler and learns to speak. Vien's behavior is impossible. acceptable, showing disregard for the law and will certainly be punished by the law, but the pain of losing a child or grandchild will persist for the person who stayed behind, and with the victim's family.
