It is known that after her husband passed away, famous singer Giao Linh returned to Canada to live with her siblings. The famous singer opened her own pho restaurant on the front street of downtown Toronto, with the help of her siblings. During the time she is not singing, she manages the pho restaurant.

Giao Linh's pho shop is not too big, just enough space but has enough dishes, a stable number of customers including both Vietnamese and foreign customers. On the wall of the pho shop there is also a picture of the famous singer Giao Linh when she was young, clearly showing that this is her pho shop.

Famous singer Giao Linh was quite hospitable, choosing the biggest table to invite People's Artist Le Thuy and her juniors to eat. People's Artist Le Thuy and her son Duong Dinh Tri chose to eat banh cuon while everyone else ate pho. Duong Dinh Tri exclaimed: "The banh cuon here is delicious, extremely attractive, there is also banh cuon with grilled meat".

After eating, People's Artist Le Thuy and famous singer Giao Linh sat down together to chat and recall memories of their youth. Although they were not in the same field, one sang reformed opera and the other sang modern music, they still maintained a good relationship and affection for each other.

People's Artist Le Thuy said that at her age, some people die and some live, and every year that passes, many friends and colleagues pass away, so she wants to take the opportunity to meet old friends and colleagues while she still has the chance.

Sharing about her current life, People's Artist Le Thuy confided: "I live peacefully and happily with my children and grandchildren. Although I don't sing regularly, I still occasionally accept invitations to participate in some commercial events.

I always make a clear distinction between my role as a stage person and my role as a woman in the family. Away from the spotlight, I take care of my family and stay close to my children. Family life needs to be nurtured and there is a responsibility to care for and preserve it so that the members can bond.

Even though I am known by many people, at home, in communicating with my husband and dealing with my children, I need to be tolerant and lower my ego to keep things peaceful.

I am lucky to have a family who is always there to comfort and care for me. Whether I am performing or traveling, my son always comes along to take care of me.

The rest of the time, I do charity work with everyone. At the age of seventy, I still live well thanks to my salary. That is the blessing of my ancestors, so I need to share. Life is unpredictable, I should help whoever I can.

I always keep an optimistic spirit, especially love singing, because it makes me happy. Perhaps, God destined me to be an artist. Even though I have been a singer for more than 60 years, sometimes when I see people performing, I feel regret and "greedy". When I see young people singing, I just wish I could sing a few songs like that, wish I were young again. But thinking back, I am too old, neither greed nor regret can help, so I have to listen to old plays for fun.

Artists are different from ordinary people. They always look young because they often wear makeup and maintain a good image for the audience. As a public figure, you have to wake up in the morning and go out looking beautiful.

I had a nose job and eye surgery before, which is normal because I'm an artist, so there's no need to hide it. Currently, I still use cosmetics and nutrients to take care of my skin."
